Cover songs of music, do you listen to them more than the original songs?

And this one came to mind. So basically what the thread is about is. Cover songs of any music type do you listen to them more than the original music's? If so why do you listen to them more? Or if you don't. There are people out there who would do that. And I just like to know if you guys do it too. Because from what I have seen most cover songs can tend to be better than the original themselves. While some don't top them. What are your thoughts about this? If there is a thread like this done please close this one.

I only listen to covers of anime openings as far as I know, since I prefer to hear English lyrics rather than Japanese lyrics. I can't speak Japanese anyway, heh. I may have listened to other covers of songs and I didn't realize it, but I really only intentionally listen to covers of anime openings.

Honestly, when it comes to songs, I would prefer the original or a REMIX, almost never a cover because if it's a cover, then it's really nothing except for hearing the song in a different voice and perhaps playing the notes on a different instrument, but other than that, there's almost no difference and almost all the time, the original one would be better. However, I do love the Pentatonix covers, whenever they do a cover for a song, they know how to change the song around in the right ways to make it just amazing. Pretty much all of their covers are amazing and I would prefer all of theirs over the original songs.

I love their Radioactive cover so much, which actually happens to include one of my most favorite musicians of all time.

zanderlex : That sounds pretty much interesting I'll have a listen to that thanks zander. I need to try and listen to some more cover songs I can be picky with it. But then I am always willing to listen to something new. And not give the benefit of the doubt about them. I'll come back and post to say what I liked about the song.
