Well, I dug out my old Wii and a whole ton of good games and I decided I should play them (because there was nothing to do, I was waiting for a package to arrive.) The first game I took out was Tatsunoko VS Capcom, I played a couple of online matches (I patched it to use Wiimmfi (a new service by fans that allows old wii games to be playable online again)) but there was one problem.
The game's controls on a Wiimote are terrible. 1 punch/kick button, an easy special move execution button, an assist button, and a mega crash button. I wanted the game to feel like I wasn't handicapped. Yes, I know there was a special fighting stick for the Wii just for this, but I'm not shelling out 50 dollars for one, and another 20 if I wanted to use it on PC. So do you guys have any recommendations for a good Wii controller that I can use? (also, don't tell me the GameCube controller, something, strange happened to the first player slot :)

If anything you should look into the Classic Controller Pro.  It's basically almost like Nintendo's version of a DualShock 2 controller,  and it costs about 20 bucks.

There's also the Nyko wing wired classic controller, but be warned I've used it and the thumb sticks break overtime.

Also: How would you make a fighting stick for the WII compatible with PC?  Last I checked all WII accessories Plug into the WIi mote controller, not a USB.

SuperCrash64 : Thanks for the reply, also you can buy adapters for controllers that attach to the bottom of the Wiimote that connect via USB.

Welp I ended up buying a Classic Controller Pro (and forgetting it's a knockoff instead of the official Wii branded one.) Hopefully it doesn't end up taking a million years to get.

supersonicracing123 :
it's not an Knock off controller lol, The classic controller Pro is officially licensed by Nintendo.

The easiest way to tell if it's official or not is:
To check the front boxart, and see if you see the "Nintendo" Logo on it.

Or check the controller it's self for a WII logo on it.

In my opinion, the best controller to use either depends on the game or your own opinion. For example, to play Super Mario Galaxy you need to have the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. For New Super Mario Bros. Wii, you only need the Wii Remote, which you can hold sideways. For games like Sonic Colors, you can use a Gamecube controller. That's one of the things I really like about the Wii, is that you can use so many different controllers for different games sometimes.

I reccomend the Game Cube controller on any games that use it because the wii mote is really bad.
The Classic controller is okay but you still need to attach it to the Wii mote which uses batteries and isn't directly connected.

Like others have said, the Classic Controller Pro is a great option (and the best option from my experience) so I'm glad that it's the one you picked In case anything happens to your Classic Controller Pro, another good option is a Wii U Fight Pad Controller. It's meant for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U but it plugs right into the Wii Remote and it's very similar to the GameCube controller. Here's a picture of it:

For the original Wii I'm actually a fan of Wiimote + Nunchucks. I know about the classic controllers and all that, and for the Wii U I actually prefer the pro controllers now, but back in the original Wii days I always played with the Wiimote and Nunchucks (yes, even for Brawl lol).

SuperCrash64 : When he said that, I'm 95% sure he meant that he bought an off-brand Classic Controller Pro. He wasn't saying that the Classic Controller Pro itself is a knockoff.

GameCube is, without a doubt, the best controller. But not all games support it and, as you said, your P1 slot is broken. I definitely think the Wii U Fight Pad is the second best. It's basically just a GameCube controller with added features that connects to your Wiimote instead of your Wii itself. As far as I know, it works for Wii and Wii Mini, not just Wii U. Plus you can get awesome themed skins for it.

I'm sure places you can check out are Amazon and E bay for some cool and unique controllers. I personally always used the Wii remote, just because I never bought any other controller. But check different sites out and I'm sure you will come across something that interest you.

I'd definitely say the classic controller Pro is the best Wii Controller, though it doesn't work with every game, it's the best one to use for the games that do allow you to use the classic controller. In other words, any game that doesn't rely solely on the wii remote.
