Welcome everyone to the third annual Netplay "Teams" Tournament on Vizzed. There are 12 teams in this competition consisting of 31 players. This tournament will last for 14 weeks, 11 of those weeks being regular weeks and the last 3 of those weeks being playoff weeks. The 8 teams with the most points will enter the playoffs (high ranked teams will play low ranked teams). If 2 teams tie, the tie will be broken based on who beat who when the 2 teams had a matchup against each other.

Recording your games isn't required but it is encouraged. The plugin supports video recording so you're free to record your session either using the plugin or an external program and than upload your video to vizzed YouTube account. Streaming isn't required either but is definitely encouraged so that others can watch it take place live. It is recommended that you play on the rom.online server since that's the best server but you can pick any server and you can even host your own server if you want.

The team leaders of each team are responsible for setting up a time and day to play the weekly matchup. You can communicate with each other via the weekly thread but you should PM each other if you can't get a hold of your opponents. A matchup can take place if it's just 1 on 1 or if it's 2 on 1, in fact that might happen a lot if a team leader or a team partner is unable to play a scheduled matchup. For those who have a backup player, remember that the backup can take over for the team leader or team partner if one of those 2 players can't play in a weekly matchup.

If a team member has to withdraw from the competition, then the backup player takes on an active role. If the team doesn't have a backup player, then the remaining player may draft a new player to their team. If both players drop out of a team, then I'll make a thread asking for players to take over for that team. If a player drops out of a team, they will get fined 10,000 Viz and added to the ban list.

Here's how you'll determine which game you play each week:
Both teams pick a category to veto. There will be 3 categories, each category representing a system. If you and/or a teammate is unable to play games for a certain system then be sure to veto it. Once 2 categories have been vetoed then you you take turns picking games to play for that system with the home team picking first. If both teams win 1 game each of the selected category, you play a 3rd game for the tie breaker and the home team gets to pick that 3rd game. Once a team wins 2 games of the selected category, they win the matchup. The team that picks the game should be the ones hosting the netplay session.

Thursday at 9 PM central time is the default matchup time each week. If you can't schedule a time to play against your weekly opponent before the default matchup time, then you are expected to play at that time and if one of the teams fail to show up at that time, that team loses the matchup (and the matchup ends in a tie if both fail to show up at that time). Remember, the default time is only used if both teams can't come up with an agreement on a time to play the matchup.

Mixed System

Bomberman '94 (TG)
Choosing:
On the 1st screen, pick Battle game. On the 2nd screen, select the number of players playing and choose the option on the right (there are 2 options at the top in japanese). On the 3rd screen, pick the bottom option which is 5 games. On the 4th screen, you guys may each choose a character. On the 5th screen, whoever picked the game can pick the stage.
Winning:
Whoever wins best out of 3 wins matches (each match to 5 trophies) the game.

Final Match Tennis (TG)
Choosing:
On the 1st screen, pick Exhibition. On the 2nd screen, pick 1P 2P VS 3P 4P (make sure Player 1 and Player 2 are on a team and Player 3 and Player 4 are on a team). If a teammate is missing, they will be filled in by a CPU player. If both teams only had 1 user show up, then you can do 1P VS 2P. On the Player Select screen, just pick anything, doesn't matter since it's all Japanese. On the Court Surface page, whoever picked the game can pick the court.
Winning:
Pick a 1 set match, whoever wins it wins the game.

Super Spike V'Ball (NES)
Choosing:
Pick 2 Players vs 2 Players (unless of course 1 or 2 users are missing from your matchup, than you'll have to pick 2 players vs 1 player or 1 player vs 1 player). Leave all the Configuration settings default. Both teams may do Character Select or State Select if they want.
Winning:
Whichever team wins the set wins the game.

Motoroader (TGCD)
Choosing:
You'll be playing the Omake mode but first you need to set it to 4 players so first go to the Option menu and change the very last option from 2 to 4. Go back to the main menu and then choose Omake. Play best out of 3. Whoever chose the game gets to choose the courses.
Winning:
Whichever team wins the set wins the game.

Micro Machines 2 - Turbo Tournament
Choosing:
On the 1st screen, pick 4 Player Teams. On the 2nd screen, pick Tournaments. On the 3rd screen, the team that picked the game can pick the mode.
Winning:
Whichever team wins the tournament wins the game.

Tiny Toon Adventures - Wacky Sports Challenge
Choosing:
Pick New Game, and then on the character select screen, everyone will have to pick a character.
Winning:
Whoever wins overall wins the game for their team.

Super Bomberman 4 (english translation)
Choosing:
On the 1st screen pick BATTLE GAME. On the 2nd screen pick BAT ROYAL. On the 3rd screen pick TAG MATCH. On the 4th screen remove the 5th player and assign everyone to MAN unless someone is missing and if that's the case, replace them with CPU. Be sure to assign everyone to their team once you get the option. The team that picked the game can choose the stage and the game options except COMLEVEL should be 2, BATTLE should be 5 and TIME should be 3:00.
Winning:
Whoever wins best out of 3 wins matches (each match with 5 rounds) wins the game.

NBA Jam - Tournament Edition
Choosing:
On the 1st screen pick START GAME. Be sure to enter initials so everyone knows who is who. On the 2nd screen, everyone should press Start to join in and then enter their initials. Player 1 and 2 are on a team and Player 3 and 4 are on a team. If a teammate doesn't show up then the CPU will play with them. Whoever picked the game gets to pick their team first.
Winning:
Win after all 4 quarters.


Sony PlayStation

Bomberman World
Choosing:
On the 1st screen, pick GAME MODE. On the 2nd screen, pick BATTLE GAME. On the 3rd screen, pick BATTLE ROYAL MODE. On the 4th screen, pick TAG MATCH. On the 5th screen remove the 5th player and assign everyone to MAN unless someone is missing and if that's the case, replace them with CPU. On the 6th screen, keep COM LEVEL at NORMAL, change BATTLE to 5, keep TIME at 3:00 and the team that chose the game can choose the remaining 2 options. On the 7th screen, users can pick whatever character they want and then assign each other to their team. On the 8th screen, the team that picked the game gets to pick the stage.
Winning:
Whoever wins best out of 3 wins matches (each match with 5 rounds) wins the game.

Micro Machines V3
Choosing:
On the 1st screen, pick TEAMS. On the 2nd screen, everyone should pick a player. On the 3rd screen, choose Tournament. Whoever chose the game gets to pick the set of tracks and also gets to choose whether to use power-ups.
Winning:
Whichever team wins the tournament wins the game.

Crash Bash
Choosing:
On the 1st screen, pick BATTLE MODE. On the 2nd screen, everyone should pick a character. On the 3rd screen, the team that picked the game can choose the levels and variations. On the 4th screen, pick TEAM BATTLE. On the 4th screen, choose 2 cups needed to win the round and keep the difficulty at Medium.
Winning:
The 1st team to win best out of 3 levels wins the game.
Note:
If the user who created the session has levels unlocked, their team may pick from unlocked levels.

Micro Maniacs
Choosing:
On the 1st screen, pick VS TEAMS. Everyone needs to Press Start to join and then must pick the same color as their teammate. If only 1 user from each team shows up then pick VS instead of VS TEAMS.
Winning:
The 1st team to win best out of 5 levels wins the game.
Note:
If the user who created the session has levels unlocked, their team may pick from unlocked levels.

Davideo7 : imma try to troubleshoot the psx netplay issue

Davideo7 : So I've been having SNES problems lately, as well as having issues with PS1 not just on netplay, but even when I'm not on netplay they're both laggy now. I don't get why this problem's been happening, but if it continues, I might have to drop out of the tournament. I already talked to Bara about this. If I do have to drop out, all that it takes to get off of the netplay ban list is to give you 10k Viz right? I'm asking because the netplay contest I've been looking forward to is the Tecmo tournament, and I'd hate to miss that.
