Lily White is a fairy in Touhou who announces the coming of spring. When the snow is melting from the warm weather and the first signs of life begin to show, one can see Lily White flying over Gensokyo and announcing spring to everyone. Fitting to her name, she wears a white dress with a red trim, as well as a white hat. She also has two large, white wings on her back.

Lily's first appearance is in Touhou 7 - Perfect Cherry Blossom as the stage 4 midboss. Her bullet patterns are frenzied and random, to match her excitement for the coming of spring. She also appears as a minor boss enemy in Touhou 9 - Phantasmagoria of Flower View and Touhou 12.8 - Fairy Wars. A "Lily Black" also appears in PoFV, but this is just Lily in black attire cosplaying as the yama, or death god.

She doesn't have any dialogue in any official Touhou work, leading fans to portray her as mute. Nonetheless, she has a very energetic personality, especially during the spring time. She never seems to attack intentionally, only because of her abounding energy. Many humans of Gensokyo see her as a bringer of good luck because they know spring is close to follow behind her. In fact, flowers and plants are said to be seen blooming wherever she walks.
