Some people can't sleep and refuse to go to sleep. I wish for sleep, without nightmares of not finishing big investigation projects/homework, or surprise bonus projects.

Never ever plagiarize. You'll feel awful after you do it and if you get caught, the consequences are massive.

Usually if I have something done in the morning, I just gotta do it. That means turning off all distractions and sitting down and doing the work. It's always hard to start but once you're doing it, it's easy to keep the momentum going.

It usually depends on whether it's a big project or not, and since you said it was a pretty major project, I guess I'd do it. If I don't do it I'd probably fail and I hate cheating and I'd probably be found out.

Not to mention that my parents would make me do it whether I wanted to or not anyways :p.

Always attempt to finish it no matter what you have to sacrifice, and never cheat. Cheating is for lazy cowards that can't push themselves to produce anything legitimate by themselves.

If it's out of your reach, like needing something you cannot do (print the project could be an example), then abandon it. The risk of getting caught cheating isn't worth it. Maybe next time you will learn to do your homework with enough time before the deadline strikes (though I personally have never learnt this ).

I would start it the next day. If it was earlier in the day, I would finish it all that day, but if it's later at night like at 7, then I'm not going to start until the next day, like while I'm on the train going to school or during some breaks because I would be able to concentrate more at that time, then when I'm at home at night.

You buckle down and get that sucker done. I know this is a late reply, but who's to say you won't put yourself in this situation again?

I've sent many a night doing the exact same thing. I can tell you as long as it's actually physically possible for you to get it done (like Palen said, if you can't print it, no point in trying and wasting the night away when it'll have to be a day late regardless), then you should try to get it done. You'd be surprised what you can pull off if you just commit yourself to it as much as you possibly can and just never give up. There's been projects we were supposed to do over the course of a month + and I've pulled off a decent grade a few times doing it all in one night right before it was due. I know you can do the same if you try man.

If you didn't learn your lesson the last time (I know I never did lol), then hopefully this helps motivate you a little

If you give up and quit and simply don't do the work today, you're going to start setting a precedence that suggests quitting and not finishing things is acceptable. This is a tough road to go down because once you start quitting or giving up, it's a lot easier to do it more often in the future. You're setting yourself up for failure because every time things get tight or you get scared about something, you'll throw your hands up and quit and say, "No, thanks, I don't want to even try."

That's going to destroy your life down the road when you have to do more work at college, or a university, or a real job. And instead of just some simple school assignment, it's your work and you get fired.

I sound maybe a bit sarcastic or over the top but, let's be honest, quitting is what a coward does and what someone does who refuses to take responsibility for their own life.

9:30pm? Pfft, that's still early. DO IT. DON'T CHEAT. Even if you have to pull an all-nighter. It feels great to attend the class knowing that you've managed to pass a project on time, with your own efforts. Plus you shouldn't be plagiarizing. It might be fine during lower grades (grade 1 etc.) but the higher you go (specially for college and masterals), the higher the consequences of plagiarizing. You can easily get kicked out from the university the moment someone filed plagiarizing against your work, whether it be the publisher of the original thesis, the creators themselves, or even the higher ups from your department like the Dean and College heads. The easiest way to avoid that mess is to not do it at all and stop yourself from "getting used to it" as early as possible.

Finish the project right away avoiding sleep if you have to.
