I've made the "Message Center" available to guests but renamed 'Message Center' to just 'Welcome' for them. They also see different things which includes:
-A box that scrolls through popular features with a link and description
-A message reminding them to sign up and the benefits of doing so
-An announcements box that scrolls through the previous 5 announcements

It also shows all of the users who are on the page just like what the logged in users see (along with page staff when available). You can see all of this simply by either logging out, opening up the site in a different browser or opening up a private browsing tab. Keep in mind that this is only available on pages of the site that have been migrated to the new site code/layout.

I felt like the site was kinda dull and not very lively for guests before this update. It gave them no sense of community since they didn't get to see who was online and what users were doing. Showing them popular features and latest announcements should help keep them around and give them something to discover and hopefully they consider clicking the 'Sign Up' message.

If anyone has any suggestions or feedback for what the guests see, be sure to let me know.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
