Okay, so i heard and saw articles and video's on television about... our hands. Yes, they have a secret: Look at your left hand (On your right hand is actually the same thing) and if you look closely, you'll see some lines going all over your palms. Those lines aren't there for your skin to go more flexible: They say that's your future. Every line means a category. Like Love, Fortune, Health... And so on. But it gets even more weird: Japan found a way to CHANGE these lines, and believe in 'changing the future' by doing that. They are getting changed with a laser and voila, those lines are changed. I saw this on television, on a program with facts, science and fun things to do for your brain. This program also has dirty or entertaining facts like the 'changing your future' thing.

But what do you think about this nonsense? I mean, some people were believing in this, and some people don't. I spoke with Imamonster about this in the chat, and i got his opinion already.

Also, these lines are 100% true, but it depends on what you believe and what not.

I think this is false. Not saying it is, just what I think. I mean, it just kind of sounds absurd and odd to me. Those lines on our hands are to get more of a firm grip on objects, and those lines can also be used for DNA. I just don't see how you can just change those lines and predict the future with them, because each and every person has a different pattern of lines on their hands. Not one person has the same pattern.

Well who knows? For all we know, it could be true but we have literally no way of proving it. What is it supposed to be like though? Is our fate supposed to be programmed into our DNA that's only in hour hands? I would guess that if the lines represent our future, they would need to be like fingerprints then, meaning that no two hands can have the same lines, and that would mean billions of different lines, unless for some reason, people interwined with the same futures, could have the same lines. Who knows, maybe all the people who died in the same plane crash all had the exact same line structure, no something like that would be freaky.

This can't be true, our actions are predetermined by our genetic code, but our environment is determined by where our parents genetic code and environment led them.
Environment is a determining factor that your hands can't decide, you could move away to China and meet a talking dog, and I bet your hands couldn't have predicted that.

I believe you can predict the actions a person will take in a certain situation, and their overall temperament, but it is nearly impossible to predict what's going to happen to them unless they were in a controlled simulation with people of a certain genetic background.

I think there is more to it. People can predict things even the future in the most and awkward way. I don't know how to explain it. I'm not sure about this theory that you posted about. But the future can be predicted. It more like how it can happen and when it can happen. Its pretty much different for everyone. It can happen in a dream. Or as said here on your left hand or in another different. Way but I do know its possible.

I won't pooh-pooh the fun other people have with these sorts of things but I refuse to believe I, a white 35 year-old male living in the United States with a college degree will share the same fate as an Asian woman growing up in the slums of Malaysia if we happen to have the same kind of lines running through our palms. There are only so many variations and in a world of 5 odd billion people, I'm going to share lines with people who are outside my demographic in every conceivable manner.

Can it be true? Maybe. I'm a firm believe that the possibility of almost everything exists. But my mind, irrational as it is, has a tough time wrapping itself around the idea of this being a thing.

I won't criticize anyone who believes it is in their hands. Good for you. Take some comfort in it and control your fate.

Yes, the future is in your hands in the sense that the choices you make influence how you live. Otherwise I have yet to seem convincing proof that the lines in your hands and wrist actually tell you about your character or destiny. Granted, my "mind" line is fairly long and my IQ is around 120 - 130 (depending on the language I take it in), but it is still learned, not inherent.

Ah, there are times when I find myself beginning to believe in this although I was skeptical of it at first. lol There are people that do try to make records of those lines on everyone's palms and then they compare the prints to see if any patterns emerge. It's actually pretty funny and interesting. I don't know if "changing" the lines (like what Japan was doing) would actually change anything as important as their future, but I know of a few people that have consciously tried to change their lives without "changing" their lines and they noticed that the lines on their hands started to change a bit naturally... ^^0 If anything, this makes me want to think that how a person runs their life has an influence on the arrangement of their body cells... XD
