Being on vizzed had a lot of positive effects on me. I've learned to stop caring about what others thought about me and start being myself. Also, I made a few friends who often gave me useful advice to deal with my everyday problems. I never would've thought being on a gaming website could have this much of a positive effect on me.

I don't think it was the site itself that taught me things, but more the community. A lot of things have happened ever since I registered, but the most notable positive things that have happened are users helping me cope with my depression last year, preventing me from committing suicide, and learning to tolerate other people's opinions. This community truly is one of the greatest communities you'll ever find on the internet.

Much like Lunar, I also think it was more the community than the site, but both played a big role for me.

It was thanks to that November 2013 VCS that I became active in writing, even if it was reviews at first. The feedback and a few surprises I got in that month really motivated me to write more and better. Thanks to that, I was able to gain confidence in my skills and finally be able to focus on something, which has had an incredible impact in my real life.

The community also granted me a staff position to exploit my potential in writing, something that only motivated me even more to challenge myself and attempt very ambitious projects. Being able to complete such projects has given me more confidence in myself, and now I fully believe I can achieve everything I want to.

The site also played a role because of the RGR, and more recently the VGR. Having all those systems to play even more games, enjoy them to their fullest and write several more guides is way better than having only my physical games to choose from or having to resort to download games and emulators by myself. The VGR, and in turn my other staff role, have helped me to manage my available resources, something I struggled with before and was starting to become a burden in university.

All in all, thanks to this site and its community I'm now a productive individual, much different than the slowpoke I was before.

I don't think being on Vizzed has changed me much. But I know one thing that I've learnt from Vizzed:

There are places on the Internet where people actually care and are nice towards each other.

If it wasn't for Vizzed I would never have known this. Everywhere I go on the Internet people keep being immature, perverted, mean or just disrespectful. There are a few websites that's different but most of them are full of boring old people talking about their cats or something. It's nice to meet a lot of friends my age who actually can behave online!

Just to clear things up. I was also taking about the community in general.

Being on Vizzed has changed me, especially as a staff member. I've had to lead people and deal with troublesome members for a long time and it has taught me a lot of things.

Vizzed has also been like a second home to me. There have been times in the last 11 years where life was tough and I could come to Vizzed and feel support and friendship here that I wasn't getting in my real life. It's been a big help in that way as well.

nah, it just helps me choose games that i may wanna buy and it helped me get in to retro games more

Final Weapon : it makes me feelz good that I can be one of those people that have help you in this matter and I promise to continue to help you no matter how bad it gets because that is what good friends are for

also I've loved playing the hack games that people have taken the time to make granted I wish they'd run through their game first to make sure there isn't any glitches or bugs before posting it to the site but hey that is why we are here to help them iron out the bugs and as far as friends go I've made many a new friend since being on the site and I've been very nice and kind toward them ... dunno when the trusted points will show up hopefully soon ... but in the meantime it won't change how I am toward people which is to always try to put a smile on their face even if they just had a very bad day and are feeling kind of grumpy I'm the person that when they get online and are playing the same game with me I greet them with a smile, ask them how their day is, and if it is bad I give them a hug and say that hopefully tomorrow is better and not to let it effect them because you can't avoid the stupid or mean people in life but you shouldn't let them ruin your day either <3

Jygin : And you have helped me out a lot since you joined this site. Which I'm very grateful for. Unfortunately, I have yet to play any of the games around the board. About the TP, I think you'll have to generally do positive things for vizzed like helping others members, proving yourself as a loyal member, etc. Though if you ask me, I think the quickest way is to make friends with other trusted members or higher.

I'm not saying that being on Vizzed "changed" me, but it has brought me a lot of joy over the years. Starting with the Retro Toon room and continuing on with the great community, great games and all the great work I've been able to be a part of in my time here.

Final Weapon : good point I will look into making alot more friends higher level then me or otherwise and if I become the person with the most friends almost like David then all the better because it means I've spread the happiness I lovez to givez people around ^-^

Jygin : Gotcha. I hope you'll become one of the more regularly active users around here, and make many friends. Higher or lower Just don't let 'em get the feeling you're befriending them for TP. XD

Final Weapon : I'd never befriend someone just for that and making new friends makes me happyz because that means I have more people to play the hack games with me

though I've been noticing a troubling issue sometimes when I get on a hack game that someone is already playing they end up leaving nearly right away and it makes me feelz very bad like just my mere presence made them leave even though I didn't say anything to them to interrupt their concentration so unless the person says hi to me 1st I don't say anything and just leave the people to their gaming so for them to just up and leave like that is sorta uncalled for and reallyz hurtz my feelingz since I wasn't going to bug them in the first place v.v

You know, over the few years I have been part of Vizzed, things has been a little different for me.

Vizzed is the 3rd longest community I have been a part of (only behind a flash game site between 2007-2011, and DeviantART since 2010). On Vizzed, it has affected me in quite a big way, in fact, this community I actually have the least amount of problems compared with other communities online and in real life. As for changing my personality, it hasn't changed a whole lot though.

I have been around for a few competitions here and there and compete in a few TdVs (including winning 1 ), and brought in the Minecraft Server along with David, although sadly I dropped out of the Server, but I continue my support towards Vizzed. Plus during my time as mod, I helped out a whole lot, although I also dropped out from that role to, but that doesn't mean I'm not returning to mod once again, it will happen, but only when the time is right.

So, you can say it changed me slightly, but not really noticeable.

Final Weapon :   I can't say that it has changed me, but I was so happy when I found this place.  The people are nice, the games are awesome, and the way it is set up so you can actually upgrade your self is pretty darn cool.  I love that I can play some of the old games that I can't find any more, and some of the games like Valkyrie Profile that I can't afford to buy...between $150-$280 last time I checked.  I love how you can save anywhere, anytime too.  That helps so much for so many games, like the first Final Fantasy, or any rpg that has dungeons that take a few hours to get through

I have been on Vizzed for a few years now, but only recently has it had any effect whatsoever on me in real life, other than finding games I never knew about prior to finding Vizzed.

Quite frankly, it didn't truly change me -- well, not in any way anyone other than me would be able to notice. No, it has had a great effect on me mentally.

As of recently, every once in a while,when I am active in the forums, I discover things about me that I never even knew before. For one, I have learned that I can actually talk to people in a different perspective than I normally think with.

And, as I usually looked at talking to people as they actually try to get on my nerves, I now believe they mean different things than I interpret from their words. Because in real life, I only have a few seconds to figure out what they are saying. But on Vizzed, through a computer, I have time to actually read over there words, giving me time to understand what they are saying more clearly.

Thanks, Vizzed, you probably saved me from ending up in jail, by going off on someone simply because I misinterpret there statements!

It has changed me a lot. For starters, like 0ddie, I learned that in some places there are nice people. But how it changed me is...

1. I feel more determined to do a good job. And I feel like I can actually do a job.

2. I can handle the stress of responsibility a bit better after having some on here.

3. I learned that I actually can make and keep friends. Seriously, you all are awesome!

Being on Vizzed taught me responsibility and that the things I do affect how others feel and what choices they make in life. It has also taught me that "a chain is only as strong as its weakest link" which is a valuable lesson in life. Not only that I've also learned that the greatest rivalry can form the greatest friendship. I wouldn't exchange my time on Vizzed for anything else because I'm grateful for what I had been taught because learning these things molded me into a better and hardworking individual.

Well the place taught me that there is a board that I won't leave after a month, I really do love this site a lot.

Anyway, vizzed certainly makes me a lot less bored at work... so I suppose it changed my attitude for the better.
