What is every one's favourite childhood game? And what about the game did you find appealing ?

For me it would be Tomb raider 2 for the play-station 1. I loved the fact it was a strong role model for women since I didn't have a decent male role model growing up. Was a great game to escape to.

At different stages of life I had different favorites.  For a while it was Mario Party 2.  That was later replaced by Mario Party 3.  At another period of life, my favorite game was Megaman Battle Network 3: Blue Version.  More recently, it was Super Mario Galaxy 2, then Splatoon.  Right now, Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is my favorite game.  I experience such a rush each time I play that game!  It invigorates me and helps me concentrate on things such as playing music on my violin or homework.  I do feel myself becoming addicted sometimes, though; and I have to set reasonable limits to how long I play the game.  After I reasonably master the game, my favorite game will probably become Splatoon again.

...To be fair, I'm still technically a child

However, when I was -younger-, my favorite game was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time until I got a ps2 and got Kingdom Hearts

(before OoT my favorite was Sonic the Hedgehog on sega genesis which was my first console)

My favorite was (and is) Secret of Mana.
A very close second is Parasite Eve.

I can play both those games over and over. :3

Haha, there were actually a good number of them... Well, okay, not really. Of course, the first one was Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast), which was actually kind of a pain to play since the disk was beyond messed up, and I'd rarely get far before having to start over, but it was still a big part, not going to lie. The second is Pokemon Leaf Green, which was a lot easier to play... since I remember actually purchasing it. Took me a heck of a long time to beat it then it ever would for me beat Sonic Adv. DX or something, lol. I guess the last would 2 would be Animal Crossing, and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I loved the latter for a lot of reasons that I do the original SA (although I prefer SA1 much more), and Animal Crossing? It was just perfect to me.

I AM still a child, but I have to go with Animal Crossing.

I've been an avid pokemon fan since it first started though I think you all are narrowing this question to just video games when I think the question is being more broad then that I think it is also asking about board games or even games like tag you know stuff we played before we got our first electronic

and to me I loved to play hide and seek as a kid and also I spy because you had alot of objects around you to choose from and you only gave either the color or texture as a clue leaving your friends or family to guess what it is you spotted

I also loved playing card games with my mom like go fish though as I got older my parents got me the original game boy and my first game on it was the original Donkey Kong Land and my second game was Pokemon Yellow fast forward and now even though I'm an adult I stillz love the pokemon games an have Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

The idea of the thread was a broad question, just having people communicating, Looking for anything to talk about I live myself 6months pregnant and this is the best to a social life I get at the moment with the exception of hospital appointments lol.

but yeah I've been playing Pokémon since mid 90's and still do I'm 24 and still playing Pokémon I got Pokémon X and Omega Ruby.
I'm loving vizzed at the moment exploring the hacks of Pokémon

My favorite childhood game was the videogame Legoland. You guessed it: It was about having your own Legoland amusement park. Also, kittehnat , are you seriously pregnant? Congratulations if so!

Anyway, you guys should play Legoland, it was a very fun game!

My favorite game when I was younger(since I am still not an adult) was Mario Kart. I am talking about the original Wii version. Me and my neighbor(and best friend at the time) went to each other's houses on alternate days to play this amazing game. I unlocked some characters for him, he unlocked some characters for me, and we had a blast! Sadly, my Wii broke a year or 2 ago, so we sold it to Gamestop for them to fix and most of our games. I still have Mario Kart on the DS, but I don't feel like it is nearly as fun as Mario Kart on the Wii.

There were quite a lot of games I enjoyed playing during my childhood, but the ones I liked the most were some of the classic SNES Mario platformer games such as Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars. I got both games for Christmas when I was 10. However, there was a game called Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World released around the same time. It was basically just the All-Stars game with Mario World packaged in with it. I wished I would have had that game because I liked both games about the same, and to this day they're still probably my favorite.

My favorite childhood game was sonic advance 3. I liked just about everything in it. Music, graphics, story, etc. To be honest, I disliked having to find the hidden chao. It was probably one of most difficult challenges I've even faced in gaming, but seeing the true ending with super sonic made it all worth wild.

Thats very difficult considering that I had a new favorite each year. One game that still holds up today and a game i can waste hours into, is the original Star Wars Battlefront.

Mine was Streets of Rage 2.I never did beat it, but, I still have fond memories of that game.I never could get past R.Bear.Eventually I went back and tried again with my brother's help (and a few save states) on an emulator and beat the game a whopping one time!
