This is a brand new type of competition which will go on for years that I'm using to introduce and promote the Video Game Music feature on Vizzed. I think these new competitions offer a better chance for anyone to win since it no longer requires having to invest a ton of time finding a specific scene in a game and going through the hassle of recording the song.

If we're missing a game or a song, be sure to request it in this thread and we'll get it added right away (I'm still in the process of adding all of the NES songs I converted but those should be up within a week).

How the Winner is Determined

Rating
When the competition over, users will vote on the submissions in a music stream (songs will not be in order of their submission like previous streams). Toward the end of each song, I'll give the viewers a link to the song's page on Vizzed and they'll rate the song on a scale from 1-5.

Only new ratings count which means that if the user has already rated the song, their rating will not count. This is so that all previous ratings of a song don't count since popular songs would automatically win. This is also to help encourage users to find lesser known songs.

Scoring
In order to win, a user needs to get the most points from all of their songs. A song earns points by getting a rating of more than 3. So however many points above a 3 a song gets, that's how many points the user gets from that song. So if a song gets an average of 4.5 rating, that's +1.5 points for that user. A perfect rating for a song would be 5 so +2 points would be the most points a user could get for a song.

However, if a user submits a poorly rated song that gets a rating less than 3, they lose points based on however many points below they the song got. So if a song got an average rating of 2, the user would lose 1 point. This is a way to discourage users from submitting bad songs which take up stream time.

If more than 1 user submit the same song, the song will only be played once in the stream and the users will share the points from the song. So if 2 users submit a song that gets an average score of 4, that songs earned 1 point and those 2 users would share that 1 point which means they'd each get +0.5 to their score. If more than 3 users submit the same song then the point sharing would be the same as if 3 users submitted the same song.

This new scoring system rewards quality more than the previous system since the previous system rewarded quantity and quality about equally. Technically with the new system, someone could still win even if they didn't upload the max number of songs. If someone submits 5 really good songs, they'd beat someone who submitted 10 average rated songs.

Rules
-You can submit up to 10 submissions total
-You can submit up to 5 songs per a company
-You can submit up to 3 songs per a franchise
-You can submit only 2 songs per a game
-Songs must be shorter than 5 minutes and longer than 30 seconds
-You can do the same song as someone else but you and that user share the points (if more than 3 users do the same song, it'll be the equivalent of 3 users)

Prizes
1st = 50,000 Viz or US $25
2nd = 25,000 Viz or US $10
3rd = 10,000 Viz
4th = 5,000 Viz
5th = 2,500 Viz
