Hey all!

It's been a while since I've posted much about my personal life, so I figured it was time for a bit of an update.

I've been job hunting a lot recently, and started an awesome position at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital on the 20th. I'll be working as a receptionist/client liaison at the Hospital Emergency Desk on nights/weekends (Tues-Fri evenings, Sat mornings/early afternoons).

As of now, it looks like it'll be averaging 40 hours until I finish training, after which I should drop to between 30-35 hours a week. It's an opportunity I'm really excited about!

Awesome news, man! Glad to hear you can finally buy that game found something. So unless I'm mistaken, this should be a lot easier and better for you all around than your previous job was, yeah?

At any rate, it's great to hear things are going well!

Congratz on the job man. I don't know about there, but here, work is a luxury. Hope that goes well for you. How much are going to be making?

Hopefully the pay is better than your old job. No more free meals during your breaks  I hope that your new job will be better than the previous one!

That's cool, I worked at an animal rehab place before and it was fun, but its just a shame that you aren't working at taco bell anymore, you two should have gotten married, it would have been perfect.

Congratulations dude! Let's hope this job is more enjoyable, along with having a better pay than the last place you were at. I mean, I would assume as much. But you never know.

I thought your job was being the ultimate life form? When Davideo7 saw your profile picture he said "I found you. Faker!" Then mrfe said "Faker?! I think your the fake user around here! You're comparing yourself to me? Ha! You're not even good enough to be my fake!" Davideo7 "I'll make you eat those words!" And then an epic mid-game battle occurred.

But seriously. Congratulations mate!

Getting a job is always something important, ESPECIALLY if you like it. Congrats, and I hope you will enjoy it.

Eirinn : Seriously! That'll be my third purchase (right after some Taco Bell and a gift card I owe a friend)!

It's a lot more professional, but overall it'll be a fantastic job.

I wouldn't say it was easy to find work, but I've got a pretty stacked resume for 18 (two political jobs [seeking out people, encouraging them to like me, then asking for their support], and 6 months at taco bell [general customer service and cash register experience]), so it's easier for me than it would be for many people at my age.

Unfortunately, my confidentiality agreement restricts me from mentioning that publicly. Suffice it to say that I make more in 30 hours of working than I did in 40 at taco bell.

ARE YOU IN GAINES-VEGAS???? Seriously, though, I prefer Satchels. To be fair to Leonardo's, though, I haven't eaten there yet, so I can't really pick Leo's.

mrfe : Well, there's the classic "I stepped in a poodle".  I'm sure you'll go through your share of "ruff" times.  Once in a while, you could gopher some Taco Bell  .

Unfortunately, working at the emergency desk, I doubt most people coming in will appreciate hearing me say that 'I stepped in a poodle'. My coworkers might get a good laugh out of them, though.

Unfortunately, the bad/sad part of the job of working at the emergency desk is seeing all sorts of awesome animals that we aren't able to save. I doubt I'll ever forget the first time I saw an emergency technician preform CPR on a dog who had died on arrival.

That aspect of the job sucks, but it helps to remember that I'm at the desk to help do everything I can to get them to the doctors asap, and therefore am hopefully saving precious seconds that could mean life or death for the animal.
