I remember when the Rams were in Los Angeles to start and they failed the second biggest market in the country.  L.A. has glitz, glam, the Dodgers, the Lakers, and their college football teams.

How long will the Rams last in L.A.?

What are your other thoughts?

Oh please, the Angles are so much better

I'm not a fan of when teams move, but when they go back to a previous spot, that's always cool, not just for the fans and the city, but for the team as well, esepcailly when it's such a bigger market like LA so the team should be able to find a lot more support here than in STL which should be able to help them in the long run. I'd say they would stay here for at least a decade, much longer if they don't run into any problems.

I feel bad for the St. Louis fans who have supported their team through the bad and good times, but now have to see their team relocate to another part of the country. If there's any plus for this move, it's that they're moving back to a location they were once from, instead of moving somewhere completely different, like London for example...

I figured it was only a matter of time. St Louis has dated infrastructure and really it's a city that's long been in Decline. So I don't really blame the owner or the owner of any smaller market team that would want to move to LA into a brand new stadium and huge TV contract.

Now the question remains, will the chargers join them?

Well, with the Rams moving to Los Angeles, it has made California have the most NFL teams in a state with 4 (49ers, Raiders, Chargers, and now Rams), they were tied with New York with 3 (Giants, Jets, and Bills) before the move.

Well, this has upset a lot of people that lives in and around St. Louis, because their team is no longer there. But tell you the truth, it is good to see that Los Angeles is finally getting a NFL team, the 2nd biggest city in the United States needs a team.

Jordanv78 : Who knows, both San Diego and Oakland needs to think about it, but I don't think it would be a problem if either the Chargers or the Raiders moves to Los Angeles, because it isn't a far drive, unlike St. Louis. Especially if it's the Chargers because they still will have Chargers merchandise sold in San Diego, just with a different city.

You had better enjoy them (if you are from the area) since you paid for their new stadium. Yes, despite earning millions (billions?) professional teams are still on the hook by taxpayers when it comes to pay for their stadiums.

janus : No, they're not.  The owners make the taxpayers supplement the cost of building a new stadium so the owners and investors don't have to cough up the money.  Why on earth would an owner put his cash out there to be used when he can get public-subsidized money to do the heavy lifting for him.

Owners are rich because they spend the least amount they can while making as much as possible.

That's why a tiny percentage of all the Breast Cancer Awareness gear sold goes to actual research.  Most of it ends up as income for the owners.

That's why the NFL is a non-profit organization, 503(c), and doesn't pay taxes.

That's why teams like the Jets charge the U.S. department of defense tens of thousands of dollars to honor veterans on the field (Yes, teams get paid money to get some war hero out there), and it all goes to the pockets of the owners.

That's why I hate the NFL.

What the HELL? It is a non profit? I also knew about the veteran propaganda, but I did not know how the cash was pocketed...

St. Louis still got the Kansas City Chiefs to cheer for so Missouri is not in a total state of misery.
