So I got in trouble for coming home late on Saturday, that was the day I almost drowned at the beach. It was like 3PM and I was forced to leave so I asked if I could come back at like 5PM, but I couldn't find anything to do close by so I went to the beach. I ended up getting home at like 11:30 and said I was at the bookstore, which is where I went after the beach.

The next morning, they were able to get the truth out of me. It went something like this.

Them: "Why are you walking like that?"
Me: "I have something in my shoe."
Them: "What?"
Me: "I WASN'T AT THE BEACH!!!"

I'll try to explain what I mean. It wasn't all of your fault to do with the problem. And I found it weird the way that you got punished. Your father or your mother should had sat down and talked to you about it. But they didn't which is the reason that you said what you said to them when they asked you for the truth. I'm glad my parents didn't give me a curfew...I guess when I got my car at 16, they were glad I wasn't sitting at home all day and as long is home by the time they woke up, they didn't ask any questions.
Although, I still stayed out really late/early... but those are stories for another day. :p

I myself had several incidents when I nearly got seriously injured, but I knew my parents would find out about them eventually so I didn't even bother hiding the truth... even if I did get scolded in the end.
