I was wondering if anyone else was a fan of league of legends. I've been player for a about 2 and a half years. I'm only silver v but I don't really play ranked much.

If you play and want someone to play with you should put your IGN up so I can add you and maybe some other people and have a vizzed team or just play together. I'm mostly just looking to have fun and do stuff that normal teams would get angry about since it's "Off meta" or "you're feeding/suck"

Just to mess around in normals with stuff like adc malzahar or other fun niche things.

I do play regularly, been playing since march of this year I think. I'm only Bronze 1, but that's because I got really screwed over in a few of the ranked games I played. I'm a pretty solid support, actually.

heh, League is one of my favorite games. Haven't been playing much lately because my laptops Wi-Fi has been acting up (angrily shakes fist at machine) but I am a pretty decent mage player when I do play. And yeah, off-meta teams rock. Although, you have to be careful. Like if you attempt an all-mage team you need a very specific set of characters so you don't get whooped late game, or if you attempt an all-melee team you need at least a few who have a little range (Olaf and Malph come to mind). I'm, technically, Bronze 5. Buuuuuuuuuut all of my placement matches, as my luck would have it, were full arse-hats and leavers so it was impossible for me to get a better ranking. I'm probably actually somewhere in the high-Silvers :p

I haven't but I would like to play it one day its that and Diablo games I would like to play. I've watched streamers play the game and it looks fun. I don't like smite though.

I think league of legends is for those who would want something different when playing a game instead of playing the same genre games that they have been playing for a long time. I may be wrong about it though. Its like this I seen most streamers or other people play monster hunter because its a multiplayer game that people can join in to play. I never heard of monster hunter until I watched an old streamer friend of mine. And I came to learn why many people play monster hunter. And it is an rpg game that can be played on the 3ds. '-'

Whelp, very solid Smite player who plays with Master league 1v1s and semi pro league 3v3 and knows the basics of 5v5 (3 lane).

Played LoL a bit, only really know Annie's burst and her basic lane farming. But it's not like moving is the issue, I also play SC2 on with my friend. My problem though is the only characters I'm really interested are expensive and I don't like my current cast enough to meta. One character I'm really interested in is Swain, his burst looks good and his ULT(imate) looks like a monster in the right hands. 

But yeah, definitely could get into the game with people to play with. Would be absolutely heartwarming if someone could gift Swain, but it's not like I can't play without him, still got basic Annie burst and an non-effective ADC build for Ashe.

Side note: Can anyone teach me the basics of the item building system? Whole new meta for me, still haven't figured it out due to lack of playing.

I'd be happy to help you with anything you want to learn or even 1v1 lane to help you learn the basics and item builds. I'm not much on ADC though but I play all the other 4 lanes pretty well.

Glad to see this thread, having more people to play with would definitely make me wanna play League more often.

I'm an ADC / Sup main. I've been playing with Koda for a while now (but I'm still a scrub) and I'm also Silver V. I came back to League not longer than a month ago, I had a hiatus due to internet problems but my issues with packet loss are mostly solved now so I'm able to play again. Like Koda I also don't play a lot of Ranked, but I wouldn't mind doing so. I just prefer Normal Draft because I've seen people rage more in ranked, plus due to the fact there is no pressure there (at least not to me).

Is it possible to gift champions with in game money, or only the bought currency?

Frodlex : Gifting is only available with RP (money). IP (In-game currency) understandably can only be used for your own account, with only a handful of rare exceptions. Grinding for IP can be kinda annoying, but then again it's almost always a pain to be F2P.

However, having played many other games that follow a F2P model I'd say League isn't that bad on that aspect. Most people usually stick only to a handful of champions anyways and sooner or later you'll get an opportunity to try and play with most champions once they go on the Free Week rotation, which also helps you decide whether or not you really want that champ or not.

So, sorry Koda, had to get off. Family matters, chances are you still won the way things were looking. If not, first PvP loss. That'd suck, 4 and 0 before that match. 

But yeah, I think I simply want to play someone who shreds people, like super shreds people. I dunno if if that's full mage or constant crits or what in this game, but yeah, that kind of character wouldn't hurt my playstyle at all, used to hyper carries in Smite.

Frodlex : I think you'd like characters such as Twitch, Jinx, Master Yi, and maybe even Urgot to name a few. Basically, as long as you build crit and a little AD on those guys and try to stay out of the front line your golden. Twitch and Jinx are both hyper carry ADCs, so they're ranged and only one potential escape built in (which can double as an engage if the situation is right). Master Yi is melee, and works anywhere from the jungle to a niche bottom lane setup. Get him fed and you'll have no problems killing off the other teams non-tanks if you can catch them.

Urgot is... Well, he's an odd duck. He's branded as a bottom lane champion but I've always had more luck with him as a top-laner to be honest. AD and armour penetration are important on Urgot, and since he's a slow character you should probably grab a few items which give a little movespeed as well (Ghostblade, Phantom Dancer, etc). Alternatively, you can forgo armour pen and go for an AD+Crit build. He's much faster using this build (how could he not be when most crit items relevant to him provide movespeed :p) but he's also much more vulnerable to. If you find yourself struggling against your lane opponent if you take him top or mid, defensive items are a must. Now, I'm not saying that def items should dominate your build but sometimes running Warmogs/Frozen Heart/Thorn Mail is a must when you take much damage.
... uh, I might play Urgot a lot. There are also some hyper carry mages (though they tend to be bursty rather than sustained) as well as hyper carry assassins (Yi is one of those, actually). If you want me to go into more detail on the hyper carries that I've been known to play then feel free to PM me. No sense in me clogging this thread up with my stratagies :p
