Suspects are currently/already being apprehended as I write this post. What are your opinions? My first two thoughts were: the recent attacks Beirut, Baghdad, and Paris. Is this connected in any way?
And: Gun control and how a change in law could've affected this event

I saw this during the news, but it was so recent we had nearly nothing to be informed about.

I don't think it's related to the ISIS attacks. It wasn't something premeditated like Paris, and surely not a bloodshed like any of those three you mentioned. Sadly, this event does remind us that, before the ISIS strike, we ourselves were capable of massive killings.

I think that, with all the recent events, it's time the US seriously considers changing the law regarding weaponry. While this kind of events would still happen, the harder it is to have access to weapons, the lesser number of fatalities to consider, as there would be a ton less events like this.

I heard about this not to long ago. The place where this occurred was in a center for people with developmental disabilities. When I heard about this, I just about lost it. This is the most enraged I've been about a news story since Sandy Hook, and it further proves why everyone should have background checks before they can be allowed to carry a gun.

I have not heard about this because I don't watch the news ... it's way to depressing...

It's sad to see all this happening. I can't say I think much of anything really... it's just the way things are going down... as the years go by .. things get worse... pretty sad

I just read about this on today's newspaper. At least two men were responsible, one was killed and the other one is injured. The suspicions about a third shooter are still open.

They used long range weapons, and seemingly used militar clothes, concealing their faces with a mask. The police says it doesn't seem to be ISIS related, but the attackers were well prepared.

I'm sure more news about this will air as the day goes by, but seems pretty clear is just an isolated act. Still, let's wait on what motive the attackers come up with. I'm fearing at least one of them got rejected or kicked out of the center and revolted, and given how that center treated disabilities, it's not impossible.
