Hi everyone I noticed this type of thread has not been done, so I decided to do it. Sop has one but, that is what is your fav manga. Whereas mine has what manga are/were reading. So I hope you can tell me what type of manga you were reading. Because sometimes I many take a liking to it and read it myself. Also put in a little details of how you liked it in a way. Not the plain and boring style of saying you read this manga and that's the end of your sentence. Just liven your post up a bit! ^-^

For me the manga I was reading was fairy tail I am on chapter 463 the latest one, and boy are things getting interesting....I won't spoil because I know there are some fans. So what manga are you reading or were reading before?

I started reading Sekirei because the anime just kind of ended with no closure.  I have not finished it yet, but plan to sometime soon.  They seem to like to just end most of the series that I watch without ever telling you what happens next, but at least there is the manga to finish them up

lordbelia669: Oh this sounds like an interesting manga to read. I hate when animes do that. They start off amazing then they wouldn't end the anime well. I can name a few princess nine is one of them. That anime should have done a season 2 same with fruits basket. That's most of the time I read manga then watch the anime.  because you'll never know what to expect from the anime. Don't get me wrong I do love anime. But I just don't like when certain anime do that especially when the anime gets good story wise. '-'

The last manga I read was the latest Black Butler. I've currently caught up on all the published volumes of the English translation and I can't wait till the next one is hits the stores in Canada.

The series is about a orphaned noble boy who, in a great moment of peril, contracted a devil to save him from death. This noble boy, Ciel Phantomhive, inherited his fathers bussinesses as well as his families shadow bussines, thier underworld affiliation with the monarchy. With his demonic butler in tow, Ciel acts as the queens watchdog in the underworld, making sure no one tries to off-set the shadow-economies balance.

A friend of mine recommended that I read Beelzebub since it was pretty funny and I am not at all disappointed by the recommendation. Currently reading at chapter 45.

For those who doesn't know about Beelzebub, here is a very short and simplified summary:
"It is about a high school guy who happens to be the strongest juvenile delinquent and through some incidents, watches over a baby who happens to be the demon king's son and the ultimate goal of the demon king is to annihilate the human race."

As much as I like watching anime, I don't display the same love for reading manga.

I used to read Naruto (you know, no fillers there) and also gave a try to KissXSis. I also used to own the first volume of Captain Harlock and Bleach, legacy of my cousin.

Currently, I own the complete collection of Saint Seiya Episode G, and I'm on a quest to complete the original Saint Seiya manga that is being remastered for its 25th birthday. I obtained the latest volume three weeks ago, and seemingly there are still one or two more to go before completing the series.
As much as I like watching anime, I don't display the same love for reading manga.

EX Palen : Yep naruto manga the days, that was no filler did the job. That's why I started to read more of the manga because shows like that. One piece in the anime they have a lot of filler and it takes time before going back to the original story mode which did annoy the heck out of me. Bleach I stopped because, well it was going onto nowhere for me like they would add something to the storyline that just never made sense or didn't need to be added there....capatin harlock and legacy of my cousin I haven't read those what is the plot about?

The plot is hard to say, I only read one volume. What I know is that he's a space pirate wanted on Earth for his "crimes", and is in the search for something special. If you want, you can watch the latest movie made about him, it premiered here in Spain this same year and is absolutely spectacular.

Continuing with the topic, I also seldomly read the different Yu-Gi-Oh manga series. The only reason for doing so is that the plot showed there is completely different than the anime, and even if the goals are the same to some extent, the procedures change drastically. If I had my own team of animators, I would give life to these manga series, their plot is also interesting and offers a different point of view and storyline.

I finished Maison Ikkoku,an excellent manga,only 14 volumes,so doesn't take too long,unlike One Piece which is going on and on,Maison Ikkoku is about a college student named Yusaku who falls in love with the woman who is manager of the building he lives in,her name is Kyoko,and the whole story is his many failed attempts to win her heart and also deal with other problems in his life,a lot of romance and comedy in it,i enjoyed it
