zanderlex : I don't have any experience with it, but TBH, I expect you'll like the vanilla game.  Destiny wasn't what people expected, but if you go into the game not expecting certain things, but just a good game, I think you'll like it.  The main reason people didn't like it was because it wasn't what they expected.

Honestly I play it as a time killer. It isn't anything fancy or special and it doesn't provide tons to do and can be considered very repetitive with little to no enemy variety. Its not bad but its not great I still play it though.

zanderlex : I haven't played it personally, but, I've stayed away from it because I don't approve of their  whole "cut out parts of the story and sell it later"  thing.Also, I tend to stay away from game creators I don't like and Bungie seems to have kiiiinda turned into a bit of a jerk, but, that's probably just my opinion.As for the game itself, again I haven't played it, but, it doesn't seem like anything to warrant a purchase by itself.The real selling point is the story and mmo aspects, both of which, I feel have been undermined a bit by the game's approach to them.

All right thanks, I'll probably stay away from it for a bit, especially the original one. If the new one can drop a bit in the prices then I might get that at some point but for now I'll just stick to other PS4 games and leave that alone unless I find out something awesome about it.

I love the game no matter what anyone says! I have still yet to get the taken king which saddens me a lot I hope to get it sooner and when I do I am going to play it a lot. I love the game its completely different to call of duty. Here to take on alien types of species and stuff and to shoot a whole bunch of them which I find fun. My fav part will have to be the vanguard missions or the house of wolfs.

If you dont have Taken King, half of the multiplayer is locked and any gear pre-taken king is useless.
I enjoyed the beta thinking the game would be bigger, of course i was disappointed and got bored of the game when i figured out it is just one big grindfest

I have not played this game but I have been thinking about buying it for a while. I have watched videos on it and read reviews and most people seem to like this game excluding all the negative feedback it gets for the game.. I'm still planning on getting it.. this thread did help some on my decision though... I am kind of doubting getting it but I think I will get it sometime anyways.
