It's both funny and touching at the same time, and I just loved it so much!

That ending scene is what got to me most, however - it was magnificent, the way it explained that families can be happy regardless of whether there's a divorce or not, the fact that it doesn't force a "happy ending" in which the father and mother are reunited, and its message that just because Mommy and Daddy don't love each other anymore, it doesn't mean they don't love you, thus not cruelly giving children in such families false hope that their parents will get back together. 

It's BEAUTIFUL, and I LOVE it. I ADORE it.

I'm surprised I didn't cry . I probably would've, though, if I was alone. Gotta stay cool B).

Of course, it also helped that it was indeed hilarious.

God bless you, Robin Williams. Thank you for filling me with joy and laughter yet again, which is frankly what you have been doing to millions of people all over the world during your time in this world. 

Rest in peace, and thank you .

I can't believe you've never seen that movie until now! It's certainly one of Williams' best movies. My favorite anyways and a true classic. Glad that you finally got to watch it and enjoyed it as much as I did. Good stuff

I saw Mrs. Doubtfire about a year ago with one of my friends. It was hilarious and I really enjoyed it too! I should see it again sometime.

You never asked lol. Its a great movie I watched it when I was really young and back in the day. It is an awesome film to watch as it is funny and family friendly as well. Who wouldn't want to watch the film? Not unless you are someone who doesn't like the film. XD

I've loved this movie since I was younger. It always got to me when I watched it. The guy just wanted to have fun with his kids. It's not his fault that his wife was a crazy stuck up psycho

Anyway, I'm glad to see someone else has gotten to enjoy this movie. It's so well done.

Jordanv78 :   Well J. What can we do? The generation born after 1997 is just beginning to discover the classics we grew up watching. They don't at first glance seem as epic and telling as the stuff our dads grew up on but they are the movies that define a generation based on all of us seeing them.

Forget Titanic. It didn't live up to its billing. It broke records purely on the basis of how pervasively it was marketed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (and II and III). Ghost busters (and II). Mrs. Doubtfire. Land Before Time (Original). Power Rangers (Original Series & The Movie). The mere fact that we all saw those draws a common thread between all of us. It may have seemed at the time to be lame kids crap that was force fed to us so that we couldn't watch what our parents were watching in the next room but now that we're grown up it has taken on a nostalgic classic value.

It was such a good movie, watched it a lot as a child, its still good till this day.

I saw this movie when I was six I think, and loved it. I've seen it a few times since then and loved it more each time. lol Robin Williams had a magic about him in his films. He seemed to bring joy to his audience in a way that other actors or actresses do. His work had a way of not just making you laugh, but making you genuinely happy. I can think of nothing else to call what that man had but a gift.

And I agree on the ending: it was a sad thing, but truly moving. They picked the perfect ending and proved an excellent point that children in situations like that need to know. As someone once said, parents divorce each other, not their kids.

His movies had a way of touching your heart. I really enjoyed watching his movies growing up. I think he brought a nice charm and charisma to his characters and truly became them. I love his work and it is sad to see him gone but, his movies will continue to remind everyone of who he was.

Since I'm "old" I saw it when it was first released in video. Since it's Robin Williams, I bet it was much funnier in English...

Anyway it was a good entertaining movie, although the family story around it was a little childish.

That's crazy it took that long to see it. It's definitely one of his best films, and a gem among comedy. Robin Williams will be sorely missed. Another movie of his that was always special to me was Hook. If you haven't seen that one either, I would highly recommend it.
