AppleJohnny : I understand what you mean, but honestly in the Days up until after WOTLK came out, it was perfect. They had an update every few months that kept things fresh and moving forward. I very much enjoyed my time with WoW - (Especially in the Burning Crusade days) and spend hundreds of hours amassing gear and whatever else I could find over the 5 years or so I played it.

It was not long after WOTLK came out where I kinda got burned out with the game and realized they were dumbing it down too much in order to attract more of the younger and casual audience. It was at that point that I stopped playing and haven't really been able to go back to it since. Tried after the Pandaran expansion came out and couldn't get back into it again. All the old players I used to raid with either moved servers, or stopped playing all together. It was a great run though. Especially when you consider it is about to have it's 11th year anniversary

writingwolves : I've stayed up longer binge watching anime when i didn't work. I Was really excited about the game because I'm the kind of person once I have my heart and mind set on something, I won't give up. It was the first time I played it but in those 2 and 1/2 days I managed to complete all the side quests and the water temple. I feel pretty good aha that's pretty much how  I stayed up. I had just gotten back from partying so I decided I'd get on here and I guess pretty much on a whim I decided I didn't want to sleep.

Jordanv78 : Yeah I remember when wrath of the lich king came out. They advertised WAY TOO hard for that. It was everywhere. Then WoW just disappeared from mainstream media all together just about. It got worse when diablo came out. But hey I got MAD love for diablo.

LOL! Yeah it was a hard time for me when I did that. I can't sleep without sleeping medications and I had ran out xD I am immortal jk lmao ..

Well, the longest time I have ever spent on a video game was playing The Legend of Spyro - Dawn of the Dragon on the PlayStation 3 where I've clocked in at 36 hours straight back in Winter 2010. But Minecraft have came close to that with 34 hours straight back in Summer 2013. I have also got a 24+ hour game recently with Super Smash Bro's on the Wii-U where I clocked in at 26 hours straight and I got that back in early November 2015.

So far, I think those are the only 3 games I have manage to play for 24+ hours straight. Playing long straight hours can put a toll on you, because you'll basically sleep for majority of the following day.

I stayed up for a week once playing Quake 2 (I'm dating myself here...).
It was back in high school when I first got the game.
Not too much to tell I guess...thought I'd share that though.

When borderlands 2 came out me and my best friend stayed up for 4 days and we did everything in that game all the side quests and story quests not counting DLC of course because it had just come out none of the DLC was finished yet that's my record with video games one time I stayed up for 5 days but that is an unrelated story (it has to do with this club I used to be a part of long story)  and yea those are my records I have also lost a few sleepless nights to Dark Souls but that's just because I over celebrate and refuse to stop when I get stuck. 

Wow that is quite a record there. The most I've played is 12 hours playing Minecraft last Friday. I do not think I can go more than that. I get so dizzy and sick from sitting there; it also does not help that I keep my living room dark and only use two small lamps and christmas lights.
It's like some of these games suck the life out of you lol. They reao your soul XD

Yeah, so I stayed up till 3 am I think playing the first season of the walking dead, didn't even get to the end I got to the bit with the train being struck by a tanker and I don't remember the rest of it. I can't really stay up that long before falling over asleep, I remember I would stay up till 4 or 5 am in the summer time throughout  most of the August days, that was a fun time.

I think my record is when I've played Dragon Age for around 12 hours in 2012.

I've never even made it 24 hours. There's no way I can pull allnighters, let alone several day or a week.... I start to feel deathly ill if I go more than about 18 hours....
