I have to write this whole thread again because I pressed "Submit Thread" and my FANTASTIC internet decided to stop working right at that moment . 

I will get to what the title is referring to shortly .

Anyway, I'm SO happy! My old laptop's been getting the blue screen of death a lot lately. My parents decided it's not worth spending a third of the price of the laptop itself on fixing it (especially since we got it on Christmas of 2012), so they're getting a new one. I still tried my best to save my files, though! They're precious! All of them; every story and conversation Green and I wrote when we were feeling creative and had no internet; every silly picture we took! Every time I turned it on, it got the blue screen before, like, five minutes passed . Once it got it before I even finished typing my password :. When I decided it would be my LAST try, though, I managed to copy all my documents, pictures, downloads, and videos onto the USB, run a whole computer scan during which 13 threats were found and removed, research said threats, send my friend a funny picture, and email my dad about it! It stayed on for OVER TWO HOURS. And why did it turn off? I turned it off normally . There was no blue screen. I'm so glad! I don't know why I was so lucky! The laptop really is dying. Sometimes it's not even a BSOD. Sometimes it's a black screen, sometimes it just freezes, and sometimes it gets REALLY glitch-y and there's colors everywhere flickering and stuff (my mom called it "dancing") . The only thing I'll miss is the laptop itself, though :C. It was my first laptop.~ Oh, well, at least the last good thing it did was leave behind a ~legacy~ of all the other good things it let me do, haha ! 

And now, time to let you all now how my SMASHING weekend went!

Anyway, on with it!~

We didn't beat Tabuu :. He's so hard !!! We beat him in Easy mode, but that doesn't really count. When you beat Tabuu in Easy mode, you can't say, "I beat Tabuu!" You have to say, "I beat Tabuu in Easy mode" . Oh, well. According to Green, he'd be able to do it with a team of CPUs instead of me because apparently I'm "slowing him down!" Well, excuuuse me! I'd like to see you try the next time I come over !

We didn't only play Smash 3, though; we also played Smash 4 a lot! Green's younger cousin joined us at one point, and so did some guy in high school after he got bored of the party, haha! We were celebrating Green's aunt's birthday . 

When we decided that us beating Tabuu wasn't happening, we just had normal fights. At one point, he played as Ness, and you know how in Brawl, at least, he looks kind of shadow-y the first second he appears on the battlefield? I don't know, but that's what I thought I saw. I didn't know what was up with that, so I asked Green about it. His answer cleared everything up for me. It all makes sense now. How could I have been so blind?

"Because hekeh, boom, hekeh, eh?"

For those of you who don't know, for us, "hekeh" is slang for "just because," and "eh," is slang for "yes." So, basically, this is what he told me:

"Because just because, boom, just because, right?"

Guys. I just paused the game and looked at him. He didn't budge. He could tell I was looking at him, and I could tell from the look on his face that he was hoping I hadn't heard what he'd said. Oh, but I'd heard it, alright. I'd heard every word, loud and clear.

There was a little smile on face that it made it look like he was trying not to laugh, but, as I know very well, Green is the worst person in the entire world at trying not to laugh, and it wasn't long before the two of us burst out laughing.

What a brain fart! I won't deny that it happens to me, too, though - I know that for a fact!

It reminds me of that time on a plane when I asked my dad how his "sauce bread" was when I meant to say "sandwich" .

Lol you said you were happy and then you talked about the blue screen of death. I was confused at first but then I read the whole thing.

Good luck with your new laptop! I feel very lucky to have never gotten a blue screen of death before. I've had brain farts like Green's before, and they're usually around my friends when we're staying up late. But I most often have brain farts when typing up posts on vizzed, like the technology is making my brain turn to mush!

Oh wow, I typed much instead of mush the first time and took a second to realize it. That proves my point

Congratulations on your new laptop Kimmy! Those are always fun times. Although my older laptops have done the same thing! I guess they just degrade over a few years. Not much can be done about it I guess.

Although a lot of the times BSOD can be fixed by re-installing windows, sometimes the issue can be hardware related, and with a lot of laptops it's just better to purchase a new one than have to replace things like the Motherboard.

Jordanv78 : It's probably hardware-related. Whenever I move it, it gets the blue screen .

Brain farts? Well then i guess it runs in the family doesn't it?



So did you get the new laptop already or do you still need to wait for that one?

I've only had my laptop for like a year and a half but it's already starting to get painful, so if I had that kind of money like you rich people I would try to get a new one as well.

Nah, I didn't get it yet. But I'm no real hurry. I'm using a newer one, but we're getting that replaced, too because we can't close it . Every time we do, the motherboard gets more damaged because one side refuses to go down x(. I've had this one for almost a year. I have to be able to pack it, but I can't. Bringing our laptops to school is optional, but it sure is better than using the school laptops, so I want a laptop that can close . 

Sorry about that, dude . I hope you can get one eventually!

I have an idea. Why don't you give me yours? Seems like you have been having some bad luck with laptops lately, but soon enough everything will be running smoothly and you can go on more online adventures!

How about by smashing your laptop into small pieces so they can fit into a shipping box and then you mail it to me? I'm sure I have enough computer skills to put it back together once I get it. Unless you have any better ideas?

zanderlex : Not really . The mailing system here SUCKS, and half of the stuff gets lost and ends up never reaching its destination, so I really don't think it's going to work . That's why we never mail our family in Canada (and ask them not to mail anything precious to us).

Awe, that makes me think back to the PS3 I got for Frod that ended up getting lost in the mail and it ended up never arriving and I didn't even get the money back for it. So do you know what kind of a laptop you will be getting? Like what brand or whatever? Are you going to be choosing the one that you want or will someone else pick for you?
