Okay, as you already know, my request is that you share your opinion of your favorite actor. You can share every aspect you can think of. This includes your favorite movie he/she stars in, his/her motto, catchphrase, or even a famous quote that they've said before. The possibilities are endless!

As for me, my favorite would have to be Nicolas Cage or Johnny Depp. It is a
very close call between the two. Johnny Depp has a great mind, and is very creative, yet Nicolas Cage is an amazing action-star, and seems so believable when he is starring in an action movie.

As for the favorite movies they star in: Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean, and I can't think of the movie's title for Nicolas Cage, however I can explain it.

Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) gets on a wrong flight, one which is filled with convicts. He goes by the fake name Billy among them. However, when things go terribly wrong and the convicts take over the plane, Billy has a plan to stop them... I'm not going on with the story, because if anyone ever wants to watch it, I don't want to spoil it. Also, if you know the name of the movie, please share.

So, now it's
your turn to share. List as many things as you can think of that you like about the actor and his/her work.

This is very hard. But I think I would go with Bill Murray. Meatballs, Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Scrooged, Groundhog Day and those are just his most well-known movies. He is the definition of a comedic actor. And I don't consider comedies my favorite category for movies. At all.

Despite all the troubles with his personal life, I think Tom Cruise is one of the best actors from our generation. Not only does he seem to have found the Fountain of Youth, but is acting is always very convincing. The last movie of his I saw was a sci-fi flick set on a post-apocalyptic Earth. The psychology of his character was very interesting and the struggle to try and understand these flashbacks. Any other actor would have destroyed the movie.

janus : Personal life troubles? Fountain of youth? Are you sure you aren't talking about Robert Downey Jr?

Also as a matter of fact, my favorite actor is a toss up between Robert Downey Jr, and Tom Crusie. I love Robert for Sherlock Holmes. 2 of my 3 favorite movies (Mission Impossible 5 and Edge of Tomorrow) of all time feature Cruise, in addition to the other Mission movies, and War of the Worlds.

So many: Robert Downey Jr, Jim Carey, Adam Sandler, Vin Diesel, Johnny Depp, Nicholas Cage, John Travolta, Bill Murray, Quentin Tarantino (although he makes an even better director), Chris Tucker, Jackie Chan, Michael Keaton and many more but, those definitely on my tops.

zanderlex : I was talking more about his problems with Scientology than his personal life per say. Also, Cruise seems to have aged less than Downey; I guess hard drugs mess you up

I'd have to say Will Ferrell's my favorite actor. I'm a huge fan of most of the movies he's in. Anchorman was definitely the best movie he was in.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Honestly I'm not that big a fan of him, there's a couple times he's really good like Anchorman, Talladega, and Stepbrothers I think, but I don't think he's done too well past those movies.

zanderlex : What about Elf? That was a great one. Some of the movies I'll admit haven't been too great though. Still, he's the bright spot in most of those bad ones.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Oh wow, I forgot about that one. That movie was perfect, but of course, its one of his much older movies so there's some leeway with that. A lot of actors today have had their best stuff either when they first started acting or just in the past and this was one of them. Kind of like Jim Carrey, I love his movies from the late 90s and early 2000s, but I can't stand his newer movies. Same goes for Will.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Indeed, Anchorman was better than his usual movies with a (slightly) more serious tone. But in general I found his humor to be on Adam Sandler's level, i.e. not flying very high.
