Hey guys VizzedGuy111 here, and I'm here to discuss, what is your favorite music game? It can be any music game, but it has to be based mainly on music so, no games that is an ordinary game, then just jammed pack with music. I may allow DDR for now but it feels more like a dance game to me. So lets begin.
My favorite music game is Rhythm Tengoku, in which is a rhythm game, in which you follow the music rather than visual cues. You also get to play as different characters on different mini games. It can be a hard (and weird) game I have to admit, so getting to beat the game can be hard. The music is fantastic, in which if it isn't on the GBA it would sound better! So anyway what is your favorite Music based game?

My favorite music based game would have to be Audiosurf. All I has to do is get one of my songs and go on an adventure. I used to have so much fun playing it because it took the music and spun It into a brand new way to play with the insane graphics and the speed and it was a lot of fun.

Guitar Hero III for certain. So much time wasted playing that (never liked the other Guitar Heros as much).

I don't really get into these rhythm games as much, but one that stands out to me a lot and is pretty unknown is Tomb of the Necrodancer. It's a rouge-like rpg like pixel dungeons, but the catch is that you can only move along to the beat of the INSANELY EPIC music.

Rockband, probably the first one.

I used to be a huge fan of Guitar Hero 2, but then Rockband came out with superior songs and a way better user interface. It's actually close between Rockband one and two, but I think I'd choose the former simply because it successfully stole my from Guitar Hero.

I'd have to say that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call is the best music game I've played. That game has all the wonderful Final Fantasy music from just about every game in the series. I'd play that over Guitar Hero any day.

Um okay? Well I think Guitar Hero is pretty good, and I've played Final Fantasy Theaterhythm, I don't really know which is better.

I've not played many but Rock Band series is a stand out for me. I played Guitar Hero before Rock band came out but Rock Band is just better for me. I liked the songs more, I liked how the games played out, and I liked how the notes were presented in the songs.

Pa Rappa the Rapper. Hard but so rewarding. I could play it with my 8 year old nephew at the time and he loved it too.

Ephemeral Phantasia was an awesome game that pre dated guitar hero for the playstation2.  I still have yet to beat that game, but it is a very well designed game that incorporates music and rpg

If you include "orchestrated" video game music then I will of course go with the Shining Force II Symphonic Suite. When I started to look for music to download I fell on this album and got fooled when I listened to the Dwarf's theme. I though it was the real thing! However, to this day Princess Ellis is the single, most beautiful orchestration ever produced. While the rest of the track is not made with real instruments, this one is, at least for the flute solo playing the theme (you can even hear the player breathing between the notes). Damn, I get watery eyes just thinking about it! The other great orchestration is Wings. Whenever I am on a plane, the slow piano introduction is when the plane accelerates and the loud orchestra boom is when the plane starts flying.
