So, starting off this thread, were there any parts of the story that you didn't like? For example, near the end of the game, Grovyle pushes Dusknoir into the "shadow realm? (I have no idea what else to call it.)" while dropping the time gears for your partner. He had the move Dig at the time, so why couldn't he simply go underground and pop under Dusknoir to get him into the "shadow realm?" while not risking himself. Basically, this thread might probably be the stuff you probably liked about PMD or stuff you didn't like it, and maybe a few questions along the way (This thread isonly for people who've finished the game, if spoilers didn't make it clear.)

weeniedog12 : First of all, I really like the Mystery Dungeon series. The second games are definitely my favorites.

I am thinking in Super Smash Bros style right now. Maybe Dusknoir is too heavy and Grovyle too light to punch him into the world of Planet Paralysis in one hit. This might seem silly but it is a possibility.

Something that I prefer is - Grovyle decided to push himself and Dusknoir to safe the world. If Dusknoir recovers there, he could just time travel again and stop the heroes. If Grovyle is with Dusknoir, it is not possible to time travel again because of Grovyle's desire for a better future. He trusts you and your partner for that future, to stop Primal Dialga.

TornadoMudkip : If you've ever played the side stories in explorers of time, it is revealed that Dusknoir regained consciousness long before Grovyle did so technically he could have just fled and returned with the help of primal Dialga.

Thankfully we got an amazing plot instead but Grovyle pushing Dusknoir in was really just a desperate attempt to stall time.

Furret : Yes, I have played the ''In the Future of Darkness'' special episode in PMD Explores of Sky (it's exclusive to Sky). One of the best things in the game for sure. Thinking about it makes me want to play the special episode again.

PMD2 easily beats the rest of the series, simply because of the amazing plot (and the best soundtrack). The others have a great storyline too but PMD2 outclasses them because of Grovyle and even Dusknoir. They are really memorable if you ask me. Perhaps I will start a new save file soon, just one try for the quiz and I am doomed with what Pokémon I get.

There was nothing wrong with the PMD series until Gates to Infinity came along and got rid of the hunger system. Along with that, there wasn't much of a poststory, and the list of pokemon you can use as your starter and partner is extremely limited. The other PMD games are so much better than Gates to Infinity.

Also, the story in PMD Time, Darkness, and Sky didn't have any issues I didn't like. It had an incredible storyline.

gamerforlifeforever2 : See, actually, I really enjoyed GTI. I don't see why fans say it's a huge disappointment; yes, it is kind of bad, but that doesn't mean it's absolutely terrible. Most of the things in GTI might have not been as good as they were in EOD/EOS/EOT, or RRT or BRT, but the game was still fairly enjoyable.

TornadoMudkip : Grovyle in SSB representing PMD would stun me for many many years. (I know you didn't really mention anything about him in SSB..)  I never really thought about that. Grovyle is preventing Dusknoir from timetravelling because of his desire for a better future?

weeniedog12 : Grovyle in Super Smash Bros is very unlikely (but would be awesome). Sceptile has a better chance. There is a fire starter and a water starter (both final evolution), so why not a grass starter?

Grovyle knows that you, his partner, will stop Primal Dialga which is why he trusts you to save the world. Grovyle's job is to take care of Dusknoir. Dusknoir probably can't do anything with Grovyle ''stalking'' him. The special episode explains a lot too and I really recommend to play it.

I don't think that PMD Gates to Infinity is terrible. I like it a lot but not that much as the Explores series. I especially liked that you could create your own paradise with fun stuff and minigames.

TornadoMudkip : Well, at least we have a chance of getting Sceptile... Actually, Ivysaur was in Brawl, so that kind of counts as a grass starter... but he was removed from the next game.
