So websites we never heard of and dumb crazy people are saying a comet is coming to hit the earth and kill us all in 6-5 days. LOLOLOLOLOOOL What are your thoughts

How long will it take until people stop it with these doomsday theories? None of them have actually come true thus far, thankfully, and this one won't happen either. Do you have links to any of these crazy websites or anything? I'm interested in what they have to say.

I'll say this bluntly: people are stupid.

A comet will destroy the Earth? Okay, so what? If it doesn't happen, you will be ridiculed by society. If it happens, there will be no one to recognize your visionary skills.

Can we do something to avoid our demise in this case? NOTHING. We cannot evacuate the planet, we cannot stop the comet, we are defenseless against this. Sure, good luck in fantasizing with a spatial missile to destroy the comet so instead of a big one a myriad of smaller ones rain down. Even better luck in having the comet crash against the Hubble or something floating up there so we can be partially saved.

Honestly, I'm getting tired of all these "predictions". It won't change anything the fact that we know our demise is close or not, since we cannot avoid it. When will people grow tired like me of all these idiots that think they can do something by bringing these "news" to the world?

On a side note, we have had theories about a planet destroying the Earth, an asteroid destroying the Earth and now a comet destroying the Earth. What will the next theory be? The moon will crash down towards the Earth, like Phobos will do with Mars millions of years from now?

That aside, I went to go and goggle this up. I saw and I dunno I felt a sudden chill while reading it. Maybe its just me being paranoid. As you have said there has been recent announcements and stuff, and to say that there predictions have not been true so far. But, these people see something we don't see. I understand. They are trying to accomplish something here. But, to have failed predictions of this many? They should had thought again before putting this to the press, and online to tell the people of the comet.

Don't those silly people know that the Earth was destroyed on 12/21/12? Where have THEY been for the past two and a half years? And it was destroyed in what was it...October 2010 or 2011?
Yeah, I know not everyone believes the Bible, but anyone that does won't be moved by this. The Bible plainly tells how the world will end, and it isn't by a comet hitting us. For those who don't? I guess there's less peace on this matter, but even they probably don't really expect it. Why should any of us? We've heard this same song set to a different tune probably ten times just since I was a kid.

Now I'm not saying a catastrophe couldn't happen, but not a 2.5 mile wide comet because that WOULD destroy Earth, and Earth's destruction is just something that isn't gonna happen now.

First of all, we should just find the chaos emeralds, and use chaos control to move the comet of course (duh). And even if the comet thing is true, there are still many pieces of the book of Revelations that have not come to pass, and the Devil doesn't seem to be satisfied with the number of people he's already turned away from God. If there is a comet, it probably won't wipe out all of humanity. The Devil's scheme would most likely be to use that event to begin leading people to follow the Anti-Christ assuming that he is already among us. Sorry if I just made things worse but nothing can defeat us if we stick together, and believe in Christ, right?

If the Earth was going to be impacted by a large mass from space, there's a decent chance we'd never see it coming. At least not until it was far too late. But there are also more eyes on the sky than ever. The comet in Deep Impact was discovered by an amateur after all....

I like being destroyed early and often. In my lifetime, I've survived about a thousand "doomsdays".

I look forward to surviving this one by the skin of my teeth as well.

Look people, the universe is one gigantic game of pinball. You have asteroids bumping into stuff,stuff flying about,man made junk in space. But should you be paranoid? No. We will all die one day and a life spent being paranoid and fearful is not a life. Look at all the supposed "end of days" scenarios that have been tossed around. All of them have been utter BS. The closest extinction event we people have faced were the Ice Age and the Black Plague. Yes,people died by the masses. Yes,people have died in war. But the world is still here,folks. If you die,you do not have to worry. If you live,you just get up and live.
