Who here likes fried ice cream and what kind do you like? The first time I ever had fried ice cream was over the summer because my friends forced me to and it was Vanilla and it was okay. I just had the green tea one today and even though the fried part was much better, I didn't like the green tea that much, which is the flavor that my friends kept telling me to try.

What flavor do you like the most when you get fried ice cream an where do you usually get it from?

NovemberJoy : it's very popular in the US, in fact there are two different stories about where Fried Ice cream was invented, one of which says it was created in Chicago, another says it was in Philly.

It gets complicated after that, because both of those claims were from the 1800's and early 1900's, yet Japan claims they invented it in the 1960's.

zanderlex : I don't live close to one of those, either. I guess I just happen to live in this area that has no decent Japanese restaurants or anything. There was a single Japanese restaurant, but it was absolutely terrible in every way, and closed down a while ago. I'll have to stop by a decent Japanese restaurant sometime.
