I for one, am so so so f***ing happy that the Patriots won't be winning another f***ing SB this year.

I don't care who wins between the Broncos and Panthers. Either will be an acceptable winner.

Chart :

They shouldn't regret dumping Peyton Manning. The dude is a shell of his former self, and really lucked out the Broncos defense was so good, or they wouldn't be in the SB right now.

Plus, the Colts have a QB who I think can be a legitimate top 5 QB in Andrew Luck (who I've seen compared to Manning). He had some growing pains this year, but Luck is probably my favorite QB in the league right now, and I'd honestly move any of my team's assets (Cowboys fan) to acquire him.

So, I watched a little bit of the Pro Bowl just to see a few of my favorite Bengals players one last time until the 2016 season. I didn't even make it an hour before I had enough of it. It's hard for me to watch that game since nobody's going all out, which is understandable since they don't want players to get injured, but still, it's just not entertaining... I keep saying I'll never watch it again, but since every year A.J. Green makes the Pro Bowl, I keep failing to keep that promise...

It would be great to see Manning win the Super Bowl and then just retire after this season is over. He has been a class act in the league and one of the best players ever. I also would love to see him retire as a Colt.

Honestly, I haven't been interested in the Pro Bowl for a long time and really I'm less and less interested in ANY Of the pro sports "All Star Games"

Football specifically, it's stupid to watch players play whats basically like a backyard game of Flag Football. I mean ZERO defense is being played. Whats the fun in that?

I have similar complaints about all the all star games really. I tend to like the "skills" competitions better than the actual Exhibition game.

If I was a betting man, I'd risk my life savings.

If I had any money saved up, I'd be a betting man.

Everything on the Broncos for me.

I'm not sure if you should bet your life savings on a team that can't move the ball on offense, vs one of the better defensive and run orientated teams in the league.

The defense is going to have to step up BIG TIME and they are going to need a couple scores on defense and special teams. The weather is supposed to be sunny with not a cloud in the sky for the super bowl, so weather wont be a factor. So I feel like that really hurts the Broncos. They needed a sloppy game for their defense I feel. Sure that might help Peyton some, but not enough to make his dead arm effective.

Peyton is going to have to have his best game of the year this weekend, and I just don't see that happening. Sure, anything can happen, but the Panthers have just looked too solid in all aspects of the game, especially in the playoffs for me to think that Denver has a great chance.

Well, the Denver Broncos have proven that even in today's pass happy league, the old saying is still true today, "defense wins championships". Denver's defense was all over Cam Newton tonight, causing an INT and 2 fumbles, one of which was returned for a TD. While people will be talking about Peyton Manning's 200th win and him being the first QB to win the Super Bowl with 2 different teams, at the end of the day, his defense gave him this win. Still, congrats to Peyton Manning for becoming 1st all time in wins and winning his 2nd Super Bowl.

zanderlex : Yeah, you were sure right.

The Panthers certainly had their chances as the Broncos still couldn't move the ball much all game, yet the fact that Carolinas WR's missed several key passes early in the game and Stewart being pretty affected by his early injury put them behind the 8 ball and made Cam have to mainly do nothing but pass most of the second half.

A few other things I forgot to mention, Gary Kubiak became the first head coach to win the Super Bowl with the same team he used to play for.

Also, the Broncos defense prevented Cam Newton from breaking the Guinness book of world records for the having the biggest head in the history of the world, which is currently held by Donald Trump!

When I first got home and started watching the game for real, I was shocked when they were showing the Panthers stats for the QB, where he had more uncompleted than the rest if the playoffs combined, as well as a bunch of other messes, so its really unlucky for them. However, they're still a very young team and have the potential to so so much more in the future, which is why I'm very happy that Manning won it all.

I loves Eli's expression when the Broncos scored that last touchdown. Everyone around him was jumping and screaming, yet he just had a blank expression, he was like, "yeah, this stuff happens to us, nothing new."

Well now that the season is over (Thank goodness) I've gone ahead and switched the title to "Offseason" Feel free to continue your NFL offseason discussions here.

Also please read the following article about Peyton manning and what he's really all about.

I'm surprised nobody has discussed about this popular trend in this thread yet. (At least from what I've seen.)

Whole bunches of stuff to post!

For one, I'm happy the Sheriff (Peyton Manning, just in case you didn't know) won another Super Bowl. Did he play well in that game? No, not at all. Did he deserve a second ring? Of course. I mean, after all the times he's carried his team, he earned the Defense carrying him through, and even then, he's still a great quarterback. Osweiler is good, but anyone who argues that he's better than Payton Manning is...I dunno, probably just not of the right opinion. He didn't play well because he was going too hard in practice, which is too much for his arm to handle, honestly.

Anyways, moving on, I do want Cam Newton to get a ring, and he will, but I'm happy the Sheriff got his second.

But more importantly, as a Titans fan, I've got to say, the talks he's been having about moving into Tenessee as their president sounds great. Even if he wouldn't really coach Marcus Mariota, give that man a few talks with the Titans QB and we've got the Deputy on our hands. Not to mention that Manning would definetely find the absolute best QB coach in the league for Mariota, who's great as is, for a rookie. (Certainly better than Jemeis Winston).

I really hope that Manning comes over to Tennessee, I want us to have a great team once again, one that, this time, won't have to go against Kurt Warner and his Rams in a Super Bowl. (Super Bowl XXXIV, Duel in the Dome) That was a great game, from the highlights I've seen, but honestly I wish that the Titans had gotten themselves a ring.

I root for three teams. In order, those are the Tennessee Titans, the Cleveland Browns, and the New York Jets. My reasoning behind them...

Titans: I used to live in Tennessee, and alot of my family, as well as some of my best friends, live down there, plus it gives me some variety from the other fans up here. Otherwise, I think Mariota is going to be the next great quarterback, and I like a few of the Titans players other than him, too.

Browns: I live in Ohio now, and my family up here are all stout Browns fans, despite their repeated failures. Hey, give us ten years, and we might be able to go five hundred, right?

Jets: I just
love Ryan Fitzpatrick, the man has had different offensive coordinators almost every year that he's played in the league, and he's still well above the average quarterback. Plus that beard is absolutely perfect. I also happen to like Chris Ivory and Brandon Marshall, but other than that, it's all Ryan Fitzpatrick for me guys.

That's my rant! Have a nice day!

"Deserving" to win is a slippery slope. Peyton has had a great career, but I'm not so sure you can say he "deserved" to win when I believe the Broncos are the only team in history to gain 200 yards or less on offense and win the Super Bowl.

Certainly their defense deserves all the credit, that and the fact that they were able to get a little bit of a run game going, which helped take some time off the clock.

I can't believe I actually predicted this well. Manning did win and he should retire. I do hope the Colts improve dramatically this year with the offensive line. I really believe they could have beaten Denver had they made the playoffs. They did in the regular season after all.

Well, in what I'm expecting to be a brutal free agency for the Bengals, they've already lost one free agent to the Lions: WR Marvin Jones. I can't say I'm too surprised by that move, considering Calvin Johnson has retired, and the only other good receiver they have there is Golden Tate.

Good news is that they resigned SS George Iloka to a 5 year, $30 million deal. I'm glad they were able to resign him, because he's still young, and he's one of their better players on defense.

The most shocking news so far though is the Texans giving Brock Osweiler, a guy who's only started like 7 games in his career, a 5 year $72 million deal, with $30 million guaranteed. I get that the Texans are as desperate at the QB position as there was in the NFL, but giving that kind of money to a guy who hasn't proven anything and has very few starts to his name doesn't seem like a smart way to go at the QB position.

To be honest, I'm not that surprised that he got that type of money. The NFL has proven time and time again that they will throw money at any QB that's half way decent that has some experience in the NFL, no matter how little it might be.

I mean heck, look how much money guys like Tannehill and Kapernick got. Sure those guys have a lot more experience than he did, but still it shows that teams are desperate for QBs. There's like 3-5 pretty good QB's in the NFL, then the rest are just "mediocre" and pretty much a coinflip from one game to the next on what you are going to get.

Well, the offseason hasn't been quite as brutal as I thought it would be for the Bengals. While they did lose some key free agents, including 2 of their top 3 WR's, they managed to sign back some of their guys besides the players I mentioned in my last post. Also they recently added a couple of new guys to the team, former Browns LB Karlos Dansby (one of their only good players btw), and former Patriots WR Brandon Lafell. This offseason hasn't been quite as bad as I was expecting it to be, and seeing how well they've done in the draft over the last 5+ years, I'm feeling good about the Bengals chances this year. (As long as Burfict and Jones don't repeat what they did at the end of the playoff game).
