So, this is a poorly kept secret, but I figured it's time to make it "Vizzed Post Official".

My girlfriend and I are moving to the west coast. Specifically to Southern California.

For her, this is nothing big, because she lived there for a good portion of her life.

For me, though, this is huge, I'm moving 3,000 miles away from my home, clear across the country, away from all of my family and friends. Previously, when I've moved, it was close enough that I could still visit them every now and then. Now, I'll be a good 6-7 hour plane ride away from them.

We're going for both personal reasons (which I won't elaborate on, so don't ask) and for financial reasons (so I can find work, there's none in my area, and this is literally the best shot I have of finding any kind of employment).

I'm a little nervous, but I can't wait.

We move sometime between August 24th and August 31st, I think.

I hope you find somewhere nice to live, Leggy. That's quite the move you're doing. Are you gonna fly there? Or take the Oregon Trail? Hopefully you find a good job and enjoy your new home!

I think most people would be pretty nervous moving from one side of the country to the other, and I sure would be.
