Do you get paid for your good grades? Do you know someone who does get paid for good grades? Would you want to get paid for good grades? Do you pay your kids for good grades (if you have them)?
Alright, enough with the questions. But you should still answer them. I don't get paid for good grades, and I don't know someone who gets paid for good grades. I would like to get paid for good grades, but that's not a priority. I've been getting good grades for a while and I've never gotten paid.

It would be nice to get paid for good grades. I'm in college at a community college and i could really use the extra money for stuff. But sadly that's not a thing. I heard some loan companies offer to pay you if you get good grades but... I didn't look into it. Honestly i bet it is so small a sum it wouldn't matter anyway. I didn't use to get good grades though but now that i declared my degree plan game design, I've been getting really good grades since so it would be cool if i got paid for it. But while we are on that note it would be also great if we could pay to have the ability to pay to have a bad grade ignored by financial aid so that you wouldn't loose their aid if you failed enough classes. I think its like 2 or 3 so its real strict. Anyway it would be nice to have that little feature. I agree with you 100%!

I never did, I remember a few kids growing up that did. I always was helping them with their homework.

I remember when people used to tell me that, "you may not feel like you are getting paid, but well educated people will earn more money throughout their life than less educated." At the time I remember not thinking much of it, but it is generally true. So even if you don't get money for good grades now, it may be indirectly influencing the money you earn in the future.

Also, I always got a break on car insurance for good grades, even into college. That was free money to me. If you do good in high school and plan to go to college, scholarships and free rides can net you 10s of thousands of dollars that you would otherwise have to pay to the college.

Some of these ways may not seem like money in your pocket to get the latest game system, but getting a break for earning yourself a great education is like getting rewarded for rewarding yourself. The education is likely more valuable than you think as well.

Never got something like this really but that was just because we never had money though I would have liked to because it might be silly, but getting a little extra is a great way to motivate you while you are in school, and when you are young, something like that would be a lot more appealing than a future.

I never needed that sort of motivation. Fear of reprisal kept me in line pretty well. I had to answer for any Cee's but I did ok. After I turned 16 and got my driver's license though my dad paid my insurance on the condition that I got good marks. He got a good student discount for me. So I had to have a B average then. Barely made it. Failed computers lol. That was a class back then. All I did was play pirated games all class.

I never got paid for good grades at any point in school.  I would always feel guilty for some strange reason if I got a bad grade in school.  I guess in a sense you kind of get paid in college through scholarships and all the financial aid stuff.

I don't but I know plenty of people that do. All I ask for is an allowance!

Do you actually mean receiving money because your grades are good? I have never heard about the concept, and I think it is a bad idea.

Just like pay incentives for teachers when the students succeed, I think it would strongly encourage cheating. The prospect of getting a good grade was enough for me since it opened more doors to me.

What? No. I've never heard of anyone getting money for scoring consistently good grades. Computer time, maybe, but not money. The only motivation I need for scoring good grades is graduating on time and than getting into a post-secondary institution... I've never needed an incentive to get good grades, its just something that I do. If there was money involved though it would just stress me out even more haha.

Alright, well this is interesting. Most of you say that it's a bad idea, and I agree that it is as well.

I don't particularity think it's a good idea. I think it links "success" with "money", which is something too many people already do, too much. A student should want to have good grades because it's a form of success, and because they want to do the best they can... NOT simply to have more money, I feel that that could lead to greed.

I don't get paid for having good grades. Not all families are rich.

I knew a boy in middle school who had a rich family and was paid $50 for each "A" and im like wow im lucky to get a simple "good job"

I've never had that...but I do know back when I was in school. Teachers would buy gifts for the students who has the best grades and stuff. Being paid for good grades would sure be great, but I dunno if any school where I was back then did that for their students. I guess I'll never know....'-'

I would love-- LOVE to get paid for good grades. I know at least 2 people who get paid for good grades. They're both my cousins and are around my age. However, I think they deserve the money, 'cause they're school looks more intimidating than mine; tons of printed and textbook homework, tall iron fences, tons of clubs, etc.. Heck, most of the kids there have grey hair already! 

My parents used to pay me for outstanding grades in school, but as I got older, they ultimately stopped. Maybe due to my age.
