Okay so I'm actually thinking about getting a Galaxy x3 ... I heard they are a good brand and I can get a used one from a trusted seller on Amazon fairly easily. I'm debating on if I should get a 4 or a 5. 4 would be cheaper but I really don't know the difference between the phones. If you could give me some details about it let me know. Also I was wondering if galaxy supports wifi hotspot Galaxy 4 and 5. I need a phone that supports wifi hotspot :p

I personally have not owned the s4. I currently own an S5 active and love it. My previous phone was an S3.

Off the top of my head I know that the S5 has a slightly bigger screen, is water and dust resistant (which the s4 and below aren't) and has a much nicer camera. Not only that, the storage and processing power of the S5 is greater.

They all should have WiFi hotspots. That should be no problem. From what I remember, these two phones are pretty similar other than the S5 being faster, larger, and more updated software, but people have said that these two are quite identical functionally. So it might come down to how much they are priced and if the cheaper one is worth the more features it has.

There's also an ultra-power saving mode that can keep your phone going for days and days, though it greatly limits what it can do while it's turned on.

Other perks are the large screen and the waterproof feature... not to mention I think it's very nice looking.

I currently own an S3, and have for the past few years now (amazing phone, just haven't felt the need to upgrade yet).

If all things are equal, you should pick up an S5, but if it is significantly cheaper, you may be happier with an S3.
