Finally reserved it a few minutes ago and I can't wait to see what it looks like. I might even take my laptop with me to work tomorrow to download it during lunch or something. Really excited about all the features, especially Edge.

And I just finished updating to Windows 10! Fun story, it's not even supposed to be available here in Canada yet, but with a bit of magic (re: an online article)I got it to work.

So far I'm impressed, the "phone" start menu is nowhere as obnoxious and I love the streamlining. I'll have to dig harder, though.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 a while ago. I like it so far. Everything seems to be working fine. And the new web browser (I think called "Microsoft Edge") is pretty fast! Even a little faster than google chrome. (Surprisingly since Internet Explorer was pretty bad) 

The only thing though is that my laptop is hotter than usual in temperature.

EDIT: Vizzed looks a little weird on Microsoft Edge though.

Windows 10 is going to be installed on 1 billion Windows devices. I feel like something is going to go wrong. You can just not install an update on most Windows devices. That's like getting every Android phone and updating it to the latest software.

This worked for me pretty well. The Windows 10 icon thing was giving me a lot of problems as well. This was a better method for me than the icon. Make sure to check whether your Operating System is 64 bit or 32 bit first.

Keep in mind everyone that they are sent out the update in waves, so not everyone is going to get it at the same time. Mohammedroxx is correct with that link and it should work for everyone whose computer works for the update (and if you are too impatient for the notification to tell you that you are ready for the update.

I have a copy reserved. Says it'll email me when the copy is available. Hey what is that phone thing one of you mentioned and streamlining? I have windows 8 so i don't know. Also is my data going to be safe when i update it or should i back it up really quick before i attempt it? Also are there issues installing it on a dell computer cuz that's what i bought to keep up with my game design classes. Or is there any issues going from windows 8 to 10 because it would be nice to have a warning about that kind of stuff. Lol! I guess ill have to update my software afterwards... I got Photoshop, 3ds max, Maya, and a whole bunch of other game design software on here... I'm kind of concerned about the Photoshop though because i kinda need that to work and i actually bought that for my windows 8... Don't really have the money to buy myself an update for the windows 10...

I just finished updating and so far I don't really see much of a difference. I wonder how many compatibility problems will arise over the next few days because of this.

Still, I'm happy so far with the change. It feels less clunky than 8.1 did for me.

I have left my other 2 machines on windows 7 because that one was pretty stable and I really liked the way it worked.
