I normally just click the button instead of being redirected because I am an impatient user, especially if I am in a hurry. If I'm not in a hurry, I still press the button. The only was I get redirected is if I stall too long with another thing.

I get annoyed pretty quickly, especially when I'm not making any progress with what I'm trying to do.
Waiting 5 seconds just irritates me so much, that I try to press the space on my screen where the link would show up before it's even there.

My computer is already extremely slow, and stacking on a few extra unnecessary seconds will make it a full eon before I can finally get to where I need to go. It's faster on my phone, but I still prefer pressing the button to waiting.

Depends on how many tabs I have open.

If I just got to Vizzed and I'm working through my notifications then I just move to the next tab and let it do it's thing.

Otherwise I go back to the forum page right away so I can mark the forum read.
