I have been getting an increasing number of spam emails in my inbox at yahoo.com.

That is my primary email address.

Anyone else with yahoo! mail notice this? It's like their spam filter is broken. I get like 5-10 spam emails in my inbox every day which has been going on for about a month. I've had the email with Yahoo for over 5 years and haven't had the spam like this.

tRIUNE : when I first had yahoo, I had to have about 10 different emails because I would use one and it would but get to the point where it was too messy and a lot of the emails I had bothered me so after a while I just gave up with yahoo entirly. Getting spam like that isn't new, I could bet that's happened before to you.

A few years ago, I had my Yahoo! Mail as my only e-mail address. After quite a while of using it (I think it was around a year of using it, unlike your 5 years of using it), I had the same problem as you. Every day I was getting more spam. Once I saw a really bad spam e-mail that would make my parents ground me if they saw it, I knew I was done with Yahoo! Mail. I wasn't saying Yahoo! about Yahoo! Mail anymore.

I switched to Gmail. Ever since I switched to Gmail, I've had almost no spam.

I have had the same problem! I've had the same Yahoo email address since like 1998 and not until recently did I have a huge issue with spam. Although I only primarily use it for my Fantasy Sports leagues, it is still annoying. I use gmail for my primary email address.

I gave up on yahoo like a year ago because of things like that since it feels like they barely care about it anymore, and stuck with just having a gmail. Gmail really has been more convenient for me considering I also use it to login into youtube as well as the google play store on my smartphone.

I think it could be some of the sites that you join, like when I joined both DeviantART and NewGrounds, I got quite a bit of spam here and there. But unlike my Yahoo account, I haven't joined on that many sites. So, it depends on where you go to and what you sign up on.
