Well the main reason I came to Vizzed was to play Pokemon Emerald, the main reason I stayed on Vizzed initially was because I had Pokemon Aquamarine added to the RGR, the main reason I started posting was because I wanted to become a normal member, the main reason I continued posting was because I discovered the TdV, and the main reason I am still here is because I love the forums and the community

me? I mainly joined to play rgr and netplay, but that ended when my brother got banned. after that I went on a 300 posting spree from 2013-2014. the only reason I stay on the site is to keep my vizzed_red minecraft account

PacmanandMariofan : Well that is a good question actually. You see back when I first created my account in 2012 the only reason I joined was to play hacks of Pokemon games. But over the years sense I have a new reason why I'm here, that reason is that I have grown to love this place. I love everything about it from the RGR, board, chat, to every member I have ever met. You see where I live my friends either are too far away to visit, or are almost never home, but here I have friends that are always here when they login and it makes me happy. So yeah my reason for being on the site is the site itself, and that will most likely never change.

I got so distracted by life that I barely come on anymore. But the reason im on now is because I really miss this place.

When I joined my main reason was the games but since I have emulators on my phone now I use this site mostly just for posting in threads, interacting with my friends and the great community, participating in games and contests and of course writing reviews because I got this site staff role for a reason

tgags123 : The TdV is the reason I'm a regular poster too. I don't post as much during the non-TdV months as I do during the TdV, whether I'm competing or not.

I am here because of the community.

The main reason why I joined first is because of the nice collection of games in the RGR. Later I started posting and doing more stuff and met a lot of the wonderful people here. I made new friends and I still talk to them once in a while or even very often. I like helping other users as well. I like to earn CP and also helping out Vizzed in that way. And playing Bomberman '94 with Eniitan for example (beating the fatty's) is a really fun thing to do here.

Overall, I really love this place. Better than those bigger communities like Facebook and Twitter in my opinion.

TornadoMudkip : I really like helping out vizzed and its users too. I don't think vizzed is better than Facebook, Twitter, etc. but I think it's about just as great as they are!

Also, earning CP and Viz is really fun, and it's one of the little motivations for me to contribute to the site.

Right now the reason I am on vizzed right now is because I don't have anything that I need to do today, it is 04:18, And I want to have a high post count.
As for why I am in vizzed in the first place... well... I have very few real life friends because I am not the best when it comes to interacting with people. And here on vizzed I some how am able to interact with people.

catbert225 : I have many real life friends but most of them are busy a lot, so I don't get to see them much during the summer. During the summer it sometimes feels like I don't have a lot of real life friends, it feels more like I only have 2 of them.

It's much easier for me to interact with people on vizzed as well. That's mainly because it's harder for me to find nice people in real life...

I came to vizzed accidentally, long before the RGR existed. I was looking for a ROM or something, but once I started posting, I realized that this was such a unique group of people and I wanted to do what I could to help out.

In the end, that's still the reason I'm here, I just want to help out in the forums and be there for Davideo7. It's such a great place; I have been around other boards, but none are like this one.

At first, when I joined, it was only to play games. I had no interest in chatting with any of you, building relationships, becoming involved with site politics, nothing of the sort.

I just wanted to be a gamer, and nothing more.

Eventually, I got bored, made my way to the forum, and the rest is history.

However, my reasons for starting out on the forum, are totally different from the reason I'm still here now.

I'm here now, for a few different reasons, some of which will remain undisclosed.

First and foremost, I'm here to make Vizzed a better place, by whatever means necessary. If that means I have to put my ass on the line, to make sure the rest of the community can enjoy the site, so be it. I've accomplished a lot here, and my time as a core member of the community is over, so it's time for me to help make it as nice as possible for the next generation of users.

Beyond that, it's a lot of the same. I make it my goal to stand up for people who are afraid of using their voice, or those who are too timid to voice out how they actually feel. I keep in touch with several members of the community, and make sure that their feelings don't go unheard.

I can't always be a help to everyone, but if I can help anyone at all, I consider it a mission accomplished.

Obviously, there will be people who disagree, because I don't "help" them. But there's a reason for that. That reason will have to remain undisclosed.

Friends. There are a lot of interesting people on vizzed. I dont use the rgr and the board has went way down hill. I do like the collection feature though.

The reason I'm on vizzed is quite a story... Here goes.

While in college at McNeese State University, I began looking for alternative means to expensive games. I only had dial up internet at the time. Student loan checks allowed for me to purchase a few new games but became very dissatisfied at how quickly I could finish a $60 + tax game.

After several failed attempts at find a good emulator for any retro system, I gave up for a while and just continued my studies and a few games here and there. I just stopped looking because I did not think that there was such a website which had such organization and such variety. My brother and I used to play many games together when we were young.

Eventually, I ran across this website, registered, and began to explore the site. As I checked my email, I was thinking I was wasting my time by clicking the link to confirm my email. BOY, WAS I WRONG!!!!!!!!!! I began by looking at all the different systems...there were many...all in one place....so organized....so attractive to any old school gamer.

After looking at all the systems I could now sink myself into, I began looking for my old favorite games and games that my parents would not get for me. Not that they cared about violence back in the 1980s, it's that they had to please me and my brother who was 3.5 years older than me. Tragically, he took his life in 2002. Now, I play games on here to remember what life was like 30 damn years ago. I'm a math teacher, now. I tell all my students about this site. Some visit, most don't.

Unlike one of the posts under this topic, I do not enjoy typing lots of stuff online. I'm a country boy and I just like jamming out on my guitar, kissing my wife, and playing video games. Recently, I've been playing Hearthstone, Diablo 3, and Heroes of the Storm a whole bunch. But they are free and they are fun.

Now, I'm trying to get the new RGR plugin to work so I can play Dreamcast.

Trendkiller : That is quite a story. I had never seen a very organized retro gaming site with a variety of systems either until I discovered vizzed.

I discovered vizzed 6 years ago, when I was only 9 years old. I was searching for a specific hack of Super Mario Bros. and vizzed was the first result that came up on Google, so I checked it out. That was a fantastic decision for me to make!

It's a great idea for you to tell your students about this site since it isn't just for retro gamers. The forums and the community are for everybody.

Well, at first I came here for the games, then I started posting. I was doing a lot of posting for a long time, then I discovered vizzed chat, where I spent a majority of my time. Now, I spend most of my time in Innocent Town. I should really post and visit vizzed chat some more

Well I don't really chat to any specific group or individual, such as the chatbox, as I've never tried to gain any actual friends. I used to play the games in the RGR, but it's gotten boring as they lack the features I yearn for, so that's a negative on that question, too. As for posting, it's quite fulfilling to greet the newcomers and fun to post polls and such, so that would probably be the peak of the mountain for me. It's a great feeling when you make a new person in a new environment feel welcome, whether virtual or not. Things like that are what make me feel good.

Originally my reason for being on vizzed was to successfully reach the highest possible position as a member, but I've failed miserably. So I'm alright with just existing on here.
