This is a thread where you can share your experiences of being so tired that it's difficult for you to talk very well. I think this is a really common thing to happen to people I got this idea for a thread because I'm typing this at around 12:30 A.M. and I'm getting tired XD

Sometimes, one of my friends comes over and he always wants to stay up until 3 AM, so I stay up with him. Most nights, it's very hard to do that and I struggle to talk to him very well. I make a lot of mistakes when I'm talking to him so late too XD One of those times, I apologized to him and told him that it's miserable to try staying up longer so I'd go to bed.

Then when I get in bed, very ready to fall asleep, he asks me to talk to him for a little bit more. The next morning he told me that I fell asleep while he was talking! I felt so bad but it was pretty funny that it happened to me.

I have fallen asleep on the phone before. Kind of embarassing. I didn't even remember and the next day my girlfriend told me about it. Thankfully she wasn't mad. That time. But if you include online, when it's late I always mess up. Plus I get lazy and wont even correct my mistakes. Then I know it's time to crash I guess.

When my sister and I stay up long enough I start slurring my words a bit. But then I'd probably not sleep anyways.

Or when I'm tired online I start misspelling and not correcting; which leads to all sorts of hilarity. lol

It's happened a few times while I'm online, misspelling words I usually wouldn't otherwise. Usually that's a good indicator, that it's time for me to go to sleep XD

Though generally I'm kind of used to staying up now during the summer since I've sort of reversed my entire sleep cycle, especially now when competing in the TdV. So I usually don't get tired until some time during the morning.

I always have a hard time speaking- at least, because I'm always mumbling and not pronouncing. And that just intensifies when I'm really tired . Good thing that around that time I'm just talking to myself. <.<

Online, well, I don't really know since my parents always kick me off at my "sleeping time" (to me, it's always about 1 to 2 hours later), but I'm guessing I'd probably make a lot of spelling mistakes.

It's happened quite a few times with me. A year ago I attempted several times to pull all-nighters. I quickly found out that was hard to do when you were confined to your bed all night.

I succeeded once in that endeavor, and it felt like I was on some sort of narcotic. Random things popped up in the corner of my eye and I had to crawl everywhere so I wouldn't fall over. When I had to communicate it was the hardest thing ever. I had to look and talk normal but I only managed to get by with some quiet slurring. 

I passed out in my chair a while later and netted about 20 hours of sleep that night.

This happens to me during the day too, I'm usually always really tired and it gets somewhat hard to talk because usually I can't think of what I'm trying to say if I'm too tired and end up messing something up, and this happens maybe two or three times a day.

Ferdinand : I'd be very embarrassed and a little angry at myself if something like that happened to me. You must have a very great girlfriend if she wasn't mad about it

Zlinqx : I noticed that I did that too, since I stayed up so late posting last night and I normally don't do that. I didn't just misspell words, I also typed different words than what I meant to say. Thankfully I noticed my mistakes so my posts wouldn't turn into spam XD

Boxia : Whoa, that sounds intense. When I pulled an all-nighter the only problem I had was that my eyes felt like they were burning, so I guess I'm crazy. It could've been the fact that my friend and I were doing funny things, eating candy, and being excited, happy and hyper.

I do not think I was ever so tired that I could not sleep. The only times it happened was when I had one drink too many; THAT made my talking difficult because my brain was impaired.

I don't remember specific times where I was so tired I couldn't speak right. Usually I stop speaking and just fall asleep lol.

I have had it many times where I start falling asleep during long streams of an RPG game lol. I've also fallen asleep on the phone before too. That's about the worst of it though.

Normally when I wake up, my voice is much deeper than I am in the afternoon/evening time, I am not sure on what causes my voice to be deep in the morning and normal for the rest of the day.. It's not just the deep voice, but I also seem to slow and slur a little bit of my speech as well, it might just be a morning thing though. It might be because your brain isn't awake yet.

Yup, I've had that feeling before. It's definitely one of the worst feelings that you can have. When I get like that, I usually go to sleep because by that time, it's usually time to go to bed anyway lol!

IgorBird122 : I'm pretty sure it's a morning thing for almost everyone. It happens to me and it happens to everyone I've spent the night with.

Not sure if anybody else has this, but I have the opposite true for me.
As time goes without me sleeping, I feel more awake. After a point, of course.
During the day, my eyes feel heavy, and I feel a bit sleepy.
When I haven't slept in between 12-16 hours, I get super sleepy, slurring words and making mistakes.
However, around the 16 hour mark, I feel more awake then ever. My eyes aren't the least heavy, my mind begins processing things faster, and I make fewer mistakes than if I just had some good night rest, and overall feel active.
My mind tends to think really fast and just go from topic to topic, making it seem like if I were going crazy if I don't explain myself.
But, overall I feel extremely awake and just...smarter, better, faster, etc...
The most time I've ever spend awake was around ~74 hours and so, and I feel like those two-three days were the most productive days I've ever had.
But then around the 74th hour I just crashed and slept around 18 hours, which is understandable.

maguc : That's pretty neat. I think that's a pretty rare thing for someone to have going on. I haven't heard of anybody like that before!

Actually I was up 30+ hours the other night and had work and during work I was so tired I had to limit how much I talked to the customers. Instead of saying Your change is 5 dollars Thank you hope you have a nice day it was , Your change is 5 dollars thank u. I was so tired and it was getting to the point where it was hard to talk. I end up slurring a lot and having to repeat myself because what I say comes out wrong as well. 

Bintsy : Oh wow. I had that problem with my friends as well. During my mission trip to Chicago we kept purposely staying up until at least 1AM, which was a 1 hour behind time difference from my time zone where I live. Then we'd have to get up from 7-7:30AM.

That sometimes made it difficult to enjoy everything and have fun with my friends. It's hard to have fun with friends when you struggle to talk to them XD

On some nights I stay up until around 4:54 AM. Things are usually tiresome for me afterwards. Including talking with others.

Nah i dont talk anyway so im not affected :3

Yep I get that at times, and I end up like talking quietly. Or something because the energy is not there, or I would misspell words when I am really tired and trying to talk while being tired. XD
