Hello one and all. It's your main man Vile here with yet another blast from the past that still is alive and well today! This time we talk about my favorite cartoon of all time. Now I know I might get blasted by Pokémon fans but just note this...I am a fan of Pokémon as well and even though I love Pokémon to death and sing the jingle from time to time there is still one cartoon that will always have a special place in my heart just one slot above Pokémon. And that cartoon is..............................

Di-di-di....Digimon...Digimon...di di di---Digimon! Digimon!

Yes indeed Digimon: Digital Monsters. From the cartoon series to almost all the video games ever released Digimon has had a big impact on my childhood. So much so that I still play the games and watch the cartoons over and over again! I even went to theaters to see Digimon:The Movie and didn't care what other people thought. And yes I did the same with Pokémon. So before I get to my most loved and most hated of the Digimon...lets hear from you guys and gals!

I'm a huge fan of the shows but mostly the original, like the first 3 seasons. When I was younger and those were still quite new I loved them as much as any other show and I uses to watch it all the time. Really excited about the new show as well.

I remember liking the Digimon animated series a lot more than Pokemon. It had better characters, plots and people actually aged in it unlike Ash in Pokemon >.> Though Pokemon did beat it in terms of games.

I also remember having the movie on VHS and watching it over and over, that movie was one of my favorite things to watch during my childhood, it was pretty epic :3

I've also played a Digimon videogame in the form of Digimon Data Squad, which was an interesting game a bit Pokemon like though you had to try and get all the different forms of them by completing objectives instead which I thought was pretty cool.

I also tried that Digimon MMORPG but it mostly bored since it's just a big grind, doesn't really do much interesting, has poor translation and is basically pay to win.

While Digimon hasn't really been as big of a part of my childhood as Pokemon it still was something that I enjoyed a lot when I was a kid, I actually should catch up on the animated series sometime when I'm bored, That intro is the most dopey thing ever.

Now that we have the pleasantries out of the way we can really buckle down in to it. So to get this really started here comes the first Digimon Discussion

For our first Digimon Discussion we will talk about a very strange Digimon. This one actually has 2 looks. One from Digimon World 1 and one from the cartoon series.  Cherrymon.





Cherrymon in the video game looked like the birthchild of a demented puppet and an old willow tree. His only purpose in the game was to open the path to Toy Town. Sure he gave you a little info about the humans that were there before you but ultimately he was a door guard.

However the Cherrymon above is from the cartoon series. Personally i don't think Cherrymon was evil. Tricky...maybe. But he tried to help Puppetmon before Puppetmon turned on him. This Cherrymon looks to me like a Cherry tree and a mangrove tree fused. The cane is a nice touch to show he had been in the Digital World for a long time.

Hello Vizzed and welcome to the next Digimon Discussion! Last time we covered Cherrymon and if you haven't given your input on him then feel free to include your opinion in your reply!

Today we cover our first Rookie Digimon: Betamon. Now its true in season one we may have only caught a slight glimpse of him but in Season 2 Betamon got his chance to shine! Revealing to us that he digivolves into Seadramon and totally owning the water. I did find it funny that when we saw him digivolve that we got a flash back of the first time we ever saw Seadramon in Season 1. Thank you Mimi for bringing him and his tamer into the spotlight!





Now onto his video game credits. In Digimon World 1 we not only get Betamon as a shopkeeper....but we also encounter his rare form ModokiBetamon. Ever useful Betamon opens the item shop and ModokiBetamon have a chance to drop small recovery floppies after defeated in battle. Finally in Digimon: Digital Card Battle Betamon is the first Digimon you can battle with. In addition he has the tutorial you can go through any time you feel the need. You can obtain both Betamon and ModokiBetamon as cards and neither are too shabby for Rookies. All in all Betamon is the prime example of a useful water/ice type rookie!

Darn it. Remember the original digimon series, but that's just about it. Oh, and adventure 2. Downhill from there.

OMG digimon fans! I am one too! God I love digimon but for me it went downhill from season 4 season 5 I am sad to say wasn't worth watching. I only love season 1-4 those were my fav ones. I did like season 3 and 4 considering both of them are different to the older versions. In season 3 as we know they have cards and such. In season 4 they turn into some sort of looking digimon beast, or more likely to turn into a digimon themselves to fight if I can remember that correctly. Which I find amazing. Digimon as of late has been poor because the satisfaction of a good plot is not there anymore also its become really cheesy with lines. Which is like ugh...

Also I still remember the day when I watched digimon the move in cinema, that was the most amazing thing ever. I remember this like it was yesterday. It was late my father took me and my siblings to watch something. Nothing good was on until I spotted digimon. So I said we could watch that! Hey big bro that's digimon lets watch it! We did thanks to me, and I am happy because we almost left that cinema to go home.

Let me be honest. I've only watched Season 1, and parts of Season 2 and 3. I really should watch them all. I like the idea of Digimon, and it's a shame that it didn't catch on as much as Pokémon. Still, you can't change what has already been done.

Stay strong for once again shall digimon rise as king!

I do luv Digimon and the concept of monsters talking tho Pokémon got to me 1st. I do play Digimon games. Here's my Top 10 favs based on fav Rookies and digivolutions.

1. Coronamon: The design of that Digimon is awesome. Wish it was a main Digimon of a DigiDestined.
2. Patamon: It reminded me of Pikachu a little and luv it's Digivolutions.
3. Wormmon: Mostly a fan of Stingmon.
4. Aguamon: Reminded me of a oversized Charmander without a lit tail, and liked the voice of the Data Squad version than original. WarGreymon is a killer defeating Seadramon and Machinedramon easily.
5: Renamon: I just like the move Diamond Storm
6: Guilmon: Cuz he was both comical and wise plus liked his Mega Digivolution: Gallantmon
7: Terriermon: There's Hakuna Matata, and then there's Momenti.
8: Gaomon: Just cool looking.
9: Veemon: Another cool looking Digimon.
10: Armadillomon: I just like Armadillos since I'm from Texas and did like Digmon.

Only thing I hate about this show is the 4th Season which lost me. I did like the 5th and 6th. 5th cuz of it did bring back Aguamon and Biyomon and 6th cuz it was a little fresh and was cool 2 c fused Digimon and it brought back characters from past seasons in the final episodes of the 3rd part. Can't wait for Digimon Tri.

I love both the anime and the games. I always felt while the games weren't fantastic were really underrated and deep RPGs. I especially like The Dawn/Dusk games, tons of content and Digimon to use, but they did all blend together in terms of gameplay.
