I'm a gamer and also a trader. I went from a $1 Pistol skin and worked my way up to a $30 and $40 skins via lowball trading.

It took sometime and I was always kind to those I came across. Until I met with a seemingly nice Russian. I sent a trade offer when all of a sudden Gaben forsaked me and removed the contents from their inventory making it a gift. He thanked me thinking it was a gift and when I asked for it back he deletes me.

I kept contacting him but he kept deleting all my comments including my comments of "-rep". Most likely he's probably gotten much more - but deletes them all.

My question is what god would allow this? Is there even a Gaben? Or have we all just been living a lie?

Sadly for you I don't think steam offers refunds for people who were scammed in trades.. And honestly speaking this Russian person seems like they've done it before... I know it's a bit late to say this but it's always better to do trade offers so you can see exactly what your trading for what.. Plus it always pays of to be cautious when trading anything online.

Gaben is not a god that much is obvious.. And what god would refund their beings for making a huge mistake for free.. They need to learn from their mistakes and improve themselves for the future...

Aww well that sucks! Yeah my friend got hacked and somebody stole all her stuff and steam wouldn't give her a refund for everything she lost. Unfortunately things like this happen and the best thing is to just be really careful with trades. I'm sorry this happened to you.

If you know who it is, there should be a way for you to report them, the new policy says that if Valve knows who is doing it then they will suspend them or do what needs to be done.
