I want to learn Parkour but I get a lot of people saying I am to old and I should worry only for my job and not do things that can hurt me with no gain.  But I have always  loved climbing and jumping off things as a kid, teenager, and adult.  I just want to take it more serious and get good at it.  The other choice is not do parkour and just play video games in my spare time and list them like I have been doing.  I know you are thinking well do both.  I just don't have the time with work and other life stuff.  I really enjoy writing my game list but I play very hard and long hours just to always get the best ending as for my game rules in my profile.  I will of course play games still, just not list them nor always try to get the best ending, I will play while its fun and quit when boring.  For parkouring remember I am 35 years old, but I do have very good balance, and I love jumping and climbing on anything.  Let me know what you think as I really like and value your opinions.  Please vote or let me know your thoughts.

Parkour: Could hurt myself, most adults think its stupid or for kids only.  But I do love it.

Games: Can't hurt myself because if I do then I think I am playing video games wrong.  adults are 50 50 on this subject.  I do love it.

Well I'm all for you being active and getting some exercise, but Parkour might be a little dangerous. Especially if you haven't been exercising/training for it.

Video games seems like the safer option, but then again you won't be out living life and getting exercise. So I'm kinda torn.

I say you opt to be active, just choose something a little lets say, safer ;-)

LeeEel : As Parkour is pretty dangerous there are a good amount which aren't too bad I mean you could maybe take a playground or something and make it into a big Parkourse or something so it wouldn't so dangerous.

As Jordan said if we just choose Video Games you aren't getting enough exercise so how about a game where it makes you need to move around like a Just Dance game or any other game that needs you to move around like every other day or so. And then you just have your pick of fun games to play.

I don't really know what to say at this point I can't place a winner. I'd say look at everyone's reasoning and maybe get a good answer from that or you could have a mix of both things? Or just pick what you like most.

LeeEel : I feel that Parkour can be a valuable life skill.  That said, I don't know you, your strengths and your weaknesses.  If you're worried about injury...perhaps you could do lite Parkour?  That is, a scaled down version of it for fun.

I feel that asking if you should play games on essentially a forum based around games will usually provide you with the replies that you should play games...

Do parkour, It's something different.. You've only got one life.. might as well make the most of it.

Parkour would definitely be more fulfilling and worth it... though you have to be ready for a lot of work.

You need to be in top physical condition for parkour. You need strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility. All those things will require many hours a week of training. It will be a long process until you are actually able to parkour.

So unless you are willing to do all of that... I would stick with games.

A friend of mine has been doing parkour for 2 years now and while he can't do some of the craziest moves ever he says it has taught a lot to him and that it was worthwhile. You always say you're an adventurous type, so I think it'd be worth if you give parkour a try.

I think it's great that you have an interest in something so physical.  Honestly, I would, at the very least, try your hand at basic Parkour and while you cool down, finish up some games.  The best way to know if you like something is to try it.  Video games can be very addictive, but good exercise can be as well.  Do them both I say, and good luck to you

Well the poll has spoken.  I will stop listing games and learn parkour.  I read up on list stuff like games and found out it is OCD, so I should stop anyways.  That being said, I will not stop playing games, just I won't list them as I beat them.  I am going to start learning parkour, slowly and lightly as I do not want to injure myself.  I am joining a parkour class to start safely, thank you all that posted and/or voted.

Parkour does take a lot of work to do and really need a lot of practice to even attempt at it because it can lead to injury if you make one wrong move, even experienced parkour people can also get hurt if they're not careful.

I think the best thing to do is not rush injury and just settle in and play video games.
