I got a new PSP-3000 for Christmas. I decided to take advantage of its TV-Out capibilities, so I bought some cables for it. The cables got here today, but I can't use them. I plug them into my PSP, select "connected TV settings", then "switch output" and then it tells me "connect AV cables".

What can I do? It says that the cables are for PSP-2000, but I've heard that cables for PSP-2000's also work on PSP-3000's. At least the TV-Output cables. Help!

Here's a picture of the type of cables I have =

A friend of mine had the same issue just a couple weeks ago, he was trying to use 3rd party av cables which were made for the psp 2000's on a psp 3000. He couldnt get them to work either, so he borrowed my official sony av cables that I use on my psp 2000 and they worked. Perhaps if you know someone with an official sony set you could borrow them to see if they will work on your 3000?

I can't see the picture, but the only thing I can say is maybe you heard wrong. If you say your PSP-2000 cables aren't working, then maybe you need to get PSP-3000 cables.

Awww, my cables aren't gonna work then. I don't know anybdoy with a PSP, so I'm just gonna repackage the cables and send them back to Hong-Kong.

Sorry about the cables though.

Better luck next time. I'm sure the PSP-3000 cables will work when you get them.
