We all love to learn about something... Some like Cars, some like History, some Math, some Science... So, I've asked what / how have video games helped, now I have a new question. What game is the best to learn from? Which one is your favorite?

I love puzzle games! Portal 2 has some of the best puzzles I've ever seen! You have to jump, and look, think and get frustrated! But, the game has you learn some things about physics... (Some mind you, as there are a few unrealistic things in it. No fall damage for instance.)

I just got the game Inluent with the Japanese language DLC (Thanks Davideo!) and it's one amazing game! You learn a language... That's the premise. But it's not just a learning program, it has so many things that make it awesome! It gives you the verbs, adjectives, and nouns. But, you have to search around for them. You, yes, you on the couch right there, have to search for every single one word in the house.

So, that's my current favorite... What's yours? Also, tell me what you like about it.

I got Influent from David, too, but the Spanish language pack. I plan on trying it out soon. I loved the "Carmen Sandiego" series back in the day, including WITWICS, Where in Time is CS, Carmen Sandiego Word Detective, CS Junior Detective, and Where in the USA is CS. My mother also employed "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing" to help me learn to type. Now I enjoy typing a lot, partially in turn to this series and Mom. There was also a Spanish language program...Quicklearn or something like that? It was "quicksomething". I enjoyed that a lot.

But my favorite is probably WITWICS, although Where in Time is CS tickles the nostalgia bone the most.

Um....I dunno if you know this though but my one is called memerise. Its an online learning site where you can learn a lot of different languages. And also it comes in different classes. So you can choose like whatever you are most comfortable learning to do before going onto other difficult ones. It is actually a lot of fun. ^^

Chessmaster; Grandmaster Edition.

It has great chess tutorials that start from beginner, to advance. It also teaches you openings and gambits. There are excercises and lots of different levels of artificial intellegence players to play against. If anyone like Chess, or would like to get better at it, I strongly recommend it.

Well, since you said puzzle games, I always liked playing Tetris Plus 2 on the Play Station 1. Especially in split story mode with my mom while I was growing up.

Video-game wise, I can't say I have a favorite learning game.

However, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego could be considered a learning experience for me. It did teach me a few things in geography but also for languages since there were FIVE of them. I learned a few Spanish and Italian words on the way.

Mario is missing of course!
In all seriousness, I have a lot of strategy and puzzle games that I enjoy. I'm going to throw Professor Layton: Unwound Future out there as my favourite Puzzle game though (Portal 2 and Quantum Conundrum are some of my favourites as well).
As for strategy.... I'd say it's an honest to goodness tie between Disgaea 1 and 3, and Pokemon Conquest.
Conquest is just really fun, while Disgaea as a whole has an amazing story with solid gameplay.
