You know the kind of dream which, no matter how illogical it may be, makes perfect sense while it’s happening, and you don’t know you’re dreaming? And you know that other kind of dream that begins as cool, but there’s this eerie feeling you have early on that tells you it’s going to “turn” soon? Now mix those two together It was really uncool, and I don’t know why I had it. It was pretty unique, but the themes were quite common. Anyway, it started out fun; I was with my sister and my cousin (yes, the cousin was greenluigi, ha, ha), and we were all on this Jet Ski thing in a huge lake. We were in a big, grassy village, which was either on a really tall mountain or in the sky (now that I think about it, I guess it sort of resembled Skyloft from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but it had never crossed my mind). The village was separated into two parts because of how big it was, and we were riding the Jet Ski across the lake to get from the north part to the south one for some reason. I looked back, and there was this tiny, black dot thing. I considered it unimportant at first, but after checking back on it periodically for a little while, it started to… I dunno So we reached the south bank quite fast and ran quickly, but the dot was catching up and getting bigger. Turned out it wasn’t a dot, but another person also riding a Jet Ski. He, to put it basically, just looked like some tanned, tallish, anime-style guy in his late teens with dark eyes (which were sometimes gold for some reason) and purple hair. I could tell he was bad news, and we kept running until we reached what appeared to be our grandma’s house in the mountains but without the garden, and it was right next to a cliff. We had to jump off a little ledge to get there. We crouched behind the ledge, hoping it would hide us, but the guy reached us suddenly. I should have mentioned this in the beginning, but I didn’t. It starts to get violent from this point on, so, please, for your own sake, do not continue reading if you’re easily disgusted. I repeat, squeamish readers beware! Do NOT read from this point on The dude jumped off the ledge and basically just stabbed Green in neck :L. It was a lot worse than it sounds. Remember, I thought it was real life, so it scared the living daylights out of me! It was scary, but it was also sad! I love Green sounded deep, and sometimes it sounded like mine. He only had three lines in the dream, but that’s what it sounded like. That was really freaky. It was so terrifying I jumped off the cliff, to which he said “oh, no, you don’t” and jumped after me with the knife in his hand It was somehow rewound to the point during which my sister and Green were still alive, and we jumped off the ledge. It was the exact same scenario, and the same danger awaited us, but it was a wonderful feeling. I had a second chance! A chance to save them again. So I told them to follow me into the house where he wouldn’t find us. I rushed in hurriedly and somehow barred the doors with conveniently placed planks of wood and nails and closed the windows and curtains and lay on the floor. I heard screams, though. What I didn’t realize was that, in my hurry, I locked them outside, and they died. Again. Then there was banging on the door, and the terror returned I had yet another chance. It was amazing. This time, I pushed them in before me, then went in myself. I closed EVERYTHING. I took them to the deepest part of the house and down into the cellar, which was connected to the house for some reason. I told them to be quiet. Then I turned away for a minute and frantically searched for a phone to call the police. There was no phone, though, so I searched instead for my laptop so I could email my mom. I found the laptop, and it was on, but there was no internet. I turned back to my sister and Green only to find them on the ground, dead, for the third time. The nightmare really SUCKED. I don’t know how he got in, but he wasn’t there anymore. Who knows? Maybe it wasn’t even him who killed them. Anyway, that’s basically it. It kept repeating itself over and over and over AND OVER AND OVER again, and every SINGLE time, I couldn’t save my two best friends in the world. Maybe I could keep them alive longer, but I could never, EVER save them. It was impossible. The whole thing was just an endless cycle of failure and false hope that diminished with every attempt. And each time it got scarier, and I was closer to dying, but I never ended up dying xP. Interesting fact, though – I woke up at a point during which we were all alive.~ Anyway, recap/tl; dr/etc., terror, futility, and repetitiveness. :V Believable or not, it happened. I had the dream a couple of nights ago, but I was too lazy to write about it yesterday xD. It was relatively fast-paced, but explaining the details in writing makes it seem really long ;~;. Replies are appreciated! Also, just realized it's TdV. That'll totally help with the whole "believable" thing. I don't want to wait to post this, though, so... yeah. :T I hope I never have it again :L. Oh... that dream... it sounds very scary and soul-crushing. I have had some very weird dreams, but not this dark. Mainly my weird dreams consist of me meeting video game characters and doing crazy stuff afterwards. I have had some disturbing dreams, though. Like there was a monster, and I got picked up and thrown. Clifford the dog (it was a plushie) died. My mom was in the hospital for surgery... OH WAIT MY MOM HAD A LIVER TRANSPLANT. Well, that dream sorta came true, I guess. So yea... compared to your dream, my dreams must be the happiest, normalest dreams ever. I hope that you don't have that dream again. I really do. Oh ya I have those kinds of dreams all the time. The ones where a part just keeps rewinding and rewinding but the same thing just keeps happening for some reason and you just hate it. As I was reading I also noticed how you were being a lot more awesome than you would usually be in real life. Hmmmm. I am now trying to think about why that guy had a cape! Oh I got it! Have you been watching any superhero movies or anything like that lately? Sometimes in those somebody is falling from something and the superhero flies down to save them. (Sort of close to what this is.) Except it is a bit different in your dream since he has a knife and is trying to kill you.... Still could make sense since superheros do have a cape. That sounds like an interesting place for your grandma's house to be by the way. So basically it was your grandma's house except not even close to what it actually is? I bet if Green and your sister died like that in real life you would have a whole lot different emotions anyways since in dreams you just continue on and not cry like you probably would in real life. Anyways, interesting dream! Dreams can always be weird like that! Hmmmm. I am now trying to think about why that guy had a cape! Oh I got it! NintendoFanKimmy : Don't we all? In a dream, I was moving to Canada! In real life, I'm moving to a different place in Colorado Springs. *sigh*. Yea, that dream might have been cool to some people, but to others, it was terrible. |

I once had some weird dream where I drove a car off of a bridge, and when I landed I warped back to the top and it looped. I don't drive. |

That's the worst nightmare I've ever heard! I think it's the worst kind of nightmare too, a repetitive cycle. Plus it was your best friends of all people who kept passing away during the nightmare. I hope this doesn't have an effect on your life for even a little while, like some of my nightmares did. I'm praying that you won't ever have a nightmare like that again, and that you'll move on from this dream quickly! At least it isn't a foreshadowing dream, I'm sure. I'm positive that Green and your sister will remain normal (and alive). I'm sure you remember my thread about my repetitive dreams about my best friend disappearing/leaving me, but thankfully it was foreshadowing what was basically the opposite. It was still pretty creepy though I'm praying that you won't ever have a nightmare like that again, and that you'll move on from this dream quickly! At least it isn't a foreshadowing dream, I'm sure. That sounds terrible! I hope that this can all be sorted through. Perhaps your dream means something? It can sometimes give insights into life when you try to break apart a dream and learn from it. I haven't had many dreams recently, but I like trying to break down my dreams. This one...I don't know. Perhaps it would cause more harm than it's worth to think about this so much. Perhaps it will help you move past the trauma.
One dream I had when I was younger was particularly traumatic. An army approached me on one side of the fence. At times, they were past the fence. One shot at me and hit my elbow. I felt a throbbing pain, but a pain I realized was not akin to being shot in real life. I woke up to realize I had fallen off the bed and bumped my elbow. I dry sobbed for a while, then called Mom in. She helped me move past it, and now I'm grateful for that dream. It was so simply, yet helped me to grow up and move past trauma. I more fully began to realize that day how much my mother cared for me. One dream I had when I was younger was particularly traumatic. An army approached me on one side of the fence. I have to wonder, the night you had the dream, were you worried about your sister and cousin for some reason? Sometimes that can translate into strange almost (or total) nightmares involving the ones we love being hurt or killed while we are helpless to stop it. I've had dreams like that before, including one where I was begging my mom to wait just a few more minutes before going to work, because her seatbelt wasn't in the car and I had to go find it to put it back in the car, but she either didn't hear me or just didn't listen. She drove off and the next thing I heard was a car crash. Wash, rinse, repeat all night long for weeks. Turns out I was worried about her since she'd started radiation therapy for breast cancer. Once the treatment stopped and she was declared cancer-free, I stopped having the nightmare. So...think about it. Were you worried about them for some reason that day? It could be something so tiny you didn't even really notice it consciously at the time, but you might remember it if you think back. I have a disturbing dream to share. It is from last night. It has to do with my quite logical fear of snakes that have been known to attack people. The illogical part of this fear is that I have only ever been close to garter snakes. I dislike how they squirm. There was nasty snake that had escaped from its box inside a parked vehicle. The hatchback trunk and some doors were open. I dreaded what that big cobra could do if it was allowed to roam loose. Would I ever be able to rest if animal control never tracked it down? NOPE! I ran around the car, first slamming the trunk door in the cobra's face. Then it lunged away from me to get to the front. I must have gotten those doors closed too and only just on time too because cobras are quick. There was just one more back door to close on the driver's side. I went for it. So did the snake. It got its head out the door before I could get a hand out to close it. I froze. The cobra lunged out in front of me. I knew what was awaiting me next but I didn't want to face it. Maybe I will never have to face it in my life. I woke up with my heart hammering. I got back to Yasmine, I do not think you are really in danger of losing the people precious to you. Your imagination is running wild and playing terrifying tricks on you. It would take enormous conscious and unconscious mental control to stop our brains from acting this way, especially when the fantasy has already developed and taken hold. If the devil is in the room with you, he's all you can think about. That is why it is so difficult to get our minds to create a fantasy that we like again. Waking up can be a really good reset. Your conscious mind can then play a part in what you think about or don't think about. I have had similar experiences in my head consciously. I have imagined how I would feel if each of the people closest to me in turn were dead. I imagine myself at a funeral or a wake or identifying a body. It manifests physically when tears well up in my eyes. Sometimes I cry quietly to myself. I know that none of the people I know will live forever. I may lose many people I know before I myself join them in death. I don't think death is the worst thing for me. If anything, it removes me from any responsibilities (all of which are unwelcome) in the world. I will never have to eat something foul to please my mother ever again. Once dead I will not have to worry about getting out of shape or going crazy or injuring myself or Life will not always be good to me. There will be some things that I will keep enjoying until my last days. Yum! I just thought of corned beef. That will not be too bad. So life is good - basically. Death is not entirely bad. It is sure not as horrible as it is made out to be. When a death occurs, you may be sad for yourself because you have lost a person. Do not feel bad for them though. They are now free. It is you who is chained to the earth to live out your days with responsibilities, dignity and honourable deeds to be achieved for the betterment of mankind. God does not want us to despair. He wishes that we not hurt one another and do live together in harmony. P3 *** Wow. That was nuts! I started with a bad dream and in trying to reassure a friend, I become the most enlightened wordsmith. How did I ever come to know all this? Deepak Chopra, I have come for your earthly title. Har har har. NintendoFanKimmy : Person I think I know what your dream ment. Dreams are basically you and your subconscious talking to eachother but your subconscious does not say things simply it says them in the visual symbolism thus the reason dreams exist. Now I'm going to tell you what I think this dream means. You see it starts out happy and nice you with Green and your sister without a care in the world and having a good time this symbolizes all the good times you had with them. Now you and the others on the jet skee you remember the purple haired boy when he was really far away so he appeared as a black dot you see the distance between you and the purple haired boy symbolizes time and while he gets closer you start to panic this symbolizes you panicking about how there is so little time. Now I am sorry to tell you this but that purple haired boy symbolizes death we all no death is inevitable we will all die one day either of old age or other causes. This means that when the boy kills Green and your sister that symbolizes you guessed it there death. Next when you jumped of a cliff and the boy follows you saying no that symbolizes death not wanting you to die yet. Finally the final nail in the coffin (No pun intended) you going back over and over and you trying to save them but failing every time symbolizes two things. It first symbolizes you being unable to move on with there death and trying in vain to get them back even though you can't. Secondly it also symbolizes the permanence of death no matter how hard you try you can never bring them back this makes you feel helpless like you can't do anything at all. You may be asking what is my subconscious trying to tell me? What I think your subconscious is trying to tell you is that you are afraid of the people you love dying before you. You feel helpless when it comes to death of a loved one because it makes you sad knowing that there is nothing you can do. You finally are afraid of if your loved ones die that you will be left all alone unable to die still living while your loved ones are gone and you won't see them again and your afraid of being lonely because of it you dread it yet it will happen whether you like it or not.
So that was basically what I got from it sorry if it makes you depressed and perhaps you can use this dream to reflect on yourself it has been a pleasure speaking with you. Best Regards. -Boured- So that was basically what I got from it sorry if it makes you depressed and perhaps you can use this dream to reflect on yourself it has been a pleasure speaking with you. NintendoFanKimmy :
Wow. I have had similar dreams where it rewinds, but never more than twice. I've never had any creepy dreams, at least like that. Though I remember a giant snake chasing me and eating me one time. I've never had gory dreams. I've been listening to a creepy song lately, it's a Sonic song called. "Throw it all away." And it's actually a theme for one of their characters. That wasn't a good idea to listen to while reading this. If you want an explanation. Our mind uses dreams to train us for situations. (That's also why you had the rewind effect}. In your dream, your brain recognized the part that you got it right up to, and decided to repeat the exercise form the point you started to do things wrong at. Similar to save states in the RGR. With your success in some parts however, (like getting in the house successfully) your brain decided to bump it up to the next level and make it harder. By taking away internet, the phone line, and even more things. Now, this is one interpretation, and our dreams certainly do bear witness of our mind. (after all, it's our minds that came up with them) I have 18m's post and it makes sense to me as well, though I am a bit surprised giving how non- allegorical your dream was. But even then, I may just be assuming that all dreams with meaning like that are allegorical. I don't want to be creepy or anything to you, but I'm surprised that the killer's voice was a copy of your own as well. It makes me think of Dark Link a little bit. Wow. You're welcome! That is strange, but it's better for your worst nightmares to be the least bothersome after they're over. The only kind of nightmares I have now are dreams that start out good and then turn, like the one you shared in this thread The only kind of nightmares I have now are dreams that start out good and then turn, like the one you shared in this thread |

Of course now that I said that I had a dream this morning XD (after I woke up in the morning but fell back a Yeah, it's fine since having no dreams doesn't bother me. At first I was angry and sad that they came so rarely but now I don't mind. Yeah, it's fine since having no dreams doesn't bother me.
