When I'm saying hello in games and on this site I use "hello" plain and simple. When I say it in real life at work or to a friend I use Halla witch is really common here in Norway.

If it's someone I've known for a while or I think seems like a nice person I say Heyo which just before typing this post I realized is combining Hello and Hey after saying it a year, however if it's someone I don't know/like I say the generic Hi or Hello

If I was just chatting to my friends, I use "Hai", or "Hiya", I barely use my native language's greeting, (Welsh) "Helo". It just doesn't sound correct.

Regardless of whether I posted here or not, I'll answer it the way I currently say "hello."

It's either I say "hi" cheerfully with a smile, or I scream their name. On discord, I basically greet friends with capping their name and any random phrase I can come up with.

I don't usually say hello... whenever I need to say something I kind of just say it first thing. If anything I'll say "hey" but immediately followed by what I came to say rather than waiting. I dunno, I guess I'm just not that formal? Doesn't really seem like a big deal to me though.

Well I still say Heyo like I said before in my previous post back a few years ago but I think anymore I say Heyo a lot more common to anyone instead of my previous only people I was close to rule. Something I didn't mention back then is for some reason I have a habit of if someone calls my phone I'll answer with "Yellow?" I have not idea why I started saying yellow answering a phone or why I continue to.
