So today is 3.14.15. And as last year, I'm Celebrating Pie Day! Pie day is once a year always on march the fourteenth, but this year is special as it also includes the numbers 15. Pi, or the number 3.14 is this little symbol you see in math class in high school (or junior high if you have a better school then me which you do) : π . (might not show up. You probably know what I'm talking about anyway.) Now I'm not going to get all math on you, as it is a bit to complicated for those who aren't that high up in school, but I'm here to talk more then just Pi.

Celebrate it with me by celebrating math itself. Whether it be as simple as 2 + 2, or as complicated as the air velocity of a flying turtle with wings on a race with a jackrabbit. Enjoy equations. They can be irritating to most of us, and many of us will just break out the calculators instead of actually thinking about it all, but we all need math in our lives in order to be socially organized.

This is true from time, to money, we all use numbers- Like how some of you are probably looking at the clock and saying "It is not march 14!" But it is. It is here in good old home of... I'm not going to display my location, but it's quite march in the home I live in.

As for the 15. Pi's full number is 3.14159265359 etc. It doesn't really end, but to extend it out- You can see the 15 correct? Now lets do the math, how often is there a 15 in the third slot of our date? Every 100 years. The math isn't to hard. Just go to the next number, 2115, subtract 2015, and you get 100. So this is truly a special day for math. Enjoy the time you spend on the site, and remember that your doing the math when your recording a video for youtube, when you make sure you don't play a game to long, when you count how many Viz you'll get for typing out a thread post, and most importantly: how much time you wasted your life spending on this awesome forum.
