Most of the MAME game files in the Retro Game Room have been updated to their latest versions. Since the next RGR Plugin has a more up to date version of MAME (and MESS) built into it, this caused old game files to no longer work. The reason we had to update these (besides better playability and compatibility) is because the latest versions of MAME aren't compatible with old MAME game files.

Most of you don't have the latest plugin (which was released a few days ago in beta form) so you weren't experiencing the same problems as the staff and beta testers were. However, now that these files were updated, some MAME games may no longer work for you. RGR Plugin 2.25 will be released hopefully in a week which will solve any problems regarding this.

IMPORTANT: If you've played a MAME game that has been updated and it still no longer works, this is most likely because the game file has been cached on your computer. You'll need to find the file and delete it so that the latest version of the file can be downloaded to your computer. You can find the cached files on your computer here: C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginDownloads

With the a more up to date version of MAME in the RGR Plugin and with having all of these files updated, this should increase the overall playability and compatibility of MAME games greatly. Finding these MAME packs also help me discover 1000s of MAME games that the RGR is missing; these will be added within the next few months.
