Just like the Vizzed RGR Plugin 2.10 and 2.11, this is an optional update. This update adds 2 new features to the Dreamcast emulation. You can now take screenshots with Dreamcast games by pressing F6. You can now adjust the controls of controller 2 if you want to play with a 2nd person offline. You can adjust the controls of controller 3 and 4 by going into the menu and you can even assign a lightgun, keyboard, etc to any of the controller slots (more info below).

Screenshot taking opens up lots of new possibilities with the Dreamcast on vizzed. We can now have various screenshot competitions with Dreamcast games and we can now do speed runs and high score runs.


I've also added 2 buttons to the Play Window for Dreamcast games.

The 'Audio Adjustment' button simply lets you adjust the volume and tweak with various settings if the audio of your games isn't working properly.

The 'Adjust Plugins' button lets you configure a lot of things. You can use your keyboard for Dreamcast games that originally used, you can use your mouse, a lightgun and more. You can also adjust what graphics plugin you want to use in case the default gives you problem or in case 1 plugin works better for certauin games.

To use the kyboard, go to Port C and choose 'nullDC Keyboard [WinHook]...G15_drkMapleDevices...'.

I haven't played around with the other settings yet but let me know how it goes.

If the plugin tells you you're missing VC++ Runtime, you'll need to install that first. You can download it here:

You may need to uninstall previous version if you're having troubles installing this new version.

Attention Windows 8 Users, the plugin will not work if you use Internet Explorer from the Metro App screen. You must either launch Internet Explorer from the desktop, use a different internet browser or launch the site using the Vizzed RGR Plugin App icon.

For Dreamcast Games you'll need a fast computer, a controller plugged in and you'll need to download and install DirectX 9 Runtime here:

I just added 2 buttons which let you access more options and make adjustments to your Dreamcast setup. More information added to my 1st post.

I've been experiencing some issues with PSX lately, as if I suddenly got back to 2.0. I'll try to see if downloading this update somehow solves it. Nice to see the plugin in constant evolution, I look forward to the next batch of updates we might get.

EX Palen : I'm not sure how long I'll have the budget for updates or how long Tom will be willing to do updates but it's definitely great to see new updates on a weekly basis. We're still working on a big update which includes MAME/MESS netplay.

Though this update only adds to Dreamcast, I thought this question probably needed to be asked: Will this update also be mandatory for netplay?

SUX2BU : Unfortunately yeah. Apparently these plugin versions aren't compatible with other plugin versions. For this reason I'm going to try and limit the number of plugins that I release.

Wow this is coming along great. I look forward to trying it out soon. Can't wait to see the end result.

Davideo7 : DC no longer works for me with this version.
I get the nullDC screen then it crashes.

Umm...I got it to work...but it doesn't make sense why this would make a difference...
I unplugged my wireless headset receiver and it works...

vanelan : That is interesting. Good to know, I'll pass that info on to others who have problems.

Strangely, I had some problems with 2.11, the PSX was working like if Mednafen was de-updated. I tried with 2.12, but still same problem. Maybe I should try to go again to 2.1 and, until I have an interest in netplay, stick with it until the final update comes.

EDIT: 2.1 doesn't work well anymore. Very strange to see how the same plugin version doesn't work like 20 days after I first downloaded it and had it working fine. PSX again turns into a dream for me for the time being.

I am not able to play Dreamcast games with Plugin versuion 2.12 because the Plugin will not recognize my Logitech controller.

Oddly, it was just with 2.12, 2.11 didn't have the problem.

The newest build doesn't have the problem though.

tRIUNE : That's good to know. Hopefully the public 2.25 release doesn't have the problem either but for whatever reason, various things seem to not work with each release which makes no sense.

Davideo7 : The problem is simple: Mednafen just works as if no update was made. Searching through my memories, it could have 2 origins:

1- I left open a paused game for like 15 minutes. Maybe it left some strain on my computer, who knows.

2- I attempted to play Gran Turismo 2, which is incredibly big. I don't clearly remember if I played it before or after step 1.

I'm going to do some cleanup of the ROMs on my computer, just in case. I deem Gran Turismo 2 unplayable for me, so any ROM I don't use anymore or will likely not use will get deleted. I will do this cleanup once 2.25 becomes available, for testing purposes, so any ideas before that happens are also welcome.
