So I recently had to get another external hard drive since both my computer and current external hard drive filled up. I decided to get a 2 TB (aka 2,000 GB) so that I wouldn't have to worry about space for a very long time.

My parents have one of the fastest home internet connections in the USA which is Comcast's 50 MBPS connection (which is incredibly fast). They're willing to let me leave my laptop (my spare computure) at their house with my Hard Drive attached to it and letting anything I want download (sorta as a Christmas Present). To get an idea as to how fast that is, a 6 GB file could be downloaded in 16 minutes, assuming the host of the file could support that sort of speed.

So to get idea's as to what I should download, here's my question:

uhm... I would download any TV show or movie (in HD) that I wanted to watch. I already do that... but I would simply do it more .

I would also grab games that I want to play and haven't. And I would grab massive amounts of music too....

I'd pretty much download everything I could get my hands on and fill that drive and then get rid of what I don't actually want later.

What would I download? As many complete collections of games as I can find (though with that speed I would aim at PS2 then PS), alot of stuff from UG/BG, alot of anime, and a few TV shows and movies.

well seeing as i have a 100mbps conn, and a 1TB to fill.... i can give you some insight


if you like music use SoulSeek, the icon looks like a blue bird with its wings open in flight

if you like movies i suggest mIRC

if you like other things ask in PM lol

as for games mIRC, forums, and friends.... most likely you can find good ROMs thru mIRC mostly in .RAR files from my experience

I would download every season of all of my favorite shows and all of my favorite movies off of Pirate Bay, I'd get the stuff that I usually wouldn't trust, I would download a TON of ROMS and be attached to the computer until something more interesting happens!

I would not only get movies, but I would also get different system emulators, because since you could let each of them have a lot of space... they would run as well as a normal version...

way back in the day in college when Napster was still free and coming around (~1999), I spent an entire weekend and filled up a 60GB HD with nothing but music. Still have that HD today and transfer it to each new computer or external HD I get.

Now that's what I would do with that much space and that type of downloading speed!
