I've basically recoded how vizzed handles and detects YouTube videos.


YouTube Videos Get Added Quicker
When you upload a video to the Vizzed YouTube account, it should be quicker at detecting the video and giving you credit for it. Before it'd take anywhere between a few days to a few weeks to give a user credit for a video. Now it should take no more than 24-48 hours. Hopefully most of you who have videos that haven't been credited yet will receive the credit within the next 24 hours.

YouTube Videos Should No Longer Get Removed
Sometimes videos get removed from the game pages after a while randomly. Hopefully this will no longer happen with my updates.

Removed Videos Have Been Re-Added
I've re-added all videos that have been removed from the site's script.


These were highly requested updates and fixes regarding the game videos on vizzed. I'm not for certain that my updates fixed all of these problems but hopefully they fixed most of them. Please give me as much feedback as you can because this has been a big project and I'm hoping it paid off.

Davideo7 :  Sweet. You know I'll like that. But will I ever be able to access my older videos from my profile page? (Instead of just the last 250?)

Sweet, now I don't have to worry about the videos that are sitting on my computer not uploaded because I was too nervous to upload then. This is great.

Davideo7 : It seems the new system is working very well. 
I received my Viz and cp in approximately 12 hours where as it used to take days. 

Thought I'd let you know how it's working out for me at least.  :3

I actually need to test it out to see, i'm so excited about this but that's just for videos that have been waiting for 3 weeks, I never bothered to even test it out with a new video.

zanderlex : I uploaded it early morning yesterday. Probably around 1am and I got credited at 12pm yesterday.

vanelan : Oh, I thought this happened recently like today. 12 hours seems to be great, the quickest for me ever was about 72 hours.

zanderlex : It used to take a while for me too. I used to forget I uploaded videos and get credit days later.

Awesome. It's great to see that those game-page glitches were fixable.

It's nice to see that crediting will be faster.

Though I never really had a problem with getting credited in the past.
For some reason, it only took me 24-30 hours to get credited. Nothing as long as 48 or 72 hours.

Then again, I haven't uploaded much recently.

EideticMemory : I think the problem was more common on game pages that had a lot of videos.

Davideo7 : At last! I have videos that have been waiting for well over 3 months, so didn't post other videos in order to get the most CP out of them

If I could rate the post +2 I would; awesome that you fixed/looked into a fix for this problem.

I have a concern which is staff-related regarding the videos, you don't have to go into details obviously if you reply, but the page which monitors the videos submitted to vizzed seems to be broken now.

I made some more updates to this feature. I found out that while my updates helped greatly, it still didn't 100% fix everything. Any game page that had many videos would have still taken a while to give credit for every video so what I had to do is register vizzed.com to the Google API which allows my site to get information for many YouTube videos at a time (before there was a limit). I also had to update Google's API because apparently they updated it in 2014 (this is cool because now I can retrieve info from YouTube videos that I couldn't before such as Like and Dislike count).

This will hopefully mean that you'll get credit for all of your videos no matter what now and it'll no longer take 24-48 hours but instead take 24 or less hours.



tRIUNE : I would've got to it so much sooner if it wasn't going to be such a big project. Glad it's out of the way.

Also, the video monitoring page has been fixed. For the first time in over a year, it'll now show the latest videos. I should point out that any video which hasn't yet been verified by the site script will not show a thumbnail graphic.

janus : I did some testing with your account so you'll notice some repeat notifications.

Davideo7 : Yes I noticed. I don't think I had that many Final Fantasy II videos in the queue. Can't wait to have those from Phantasy Star III published now (hopefully tomorrow so I can still earn CP)

Glad that it's a bit better now, I uploaded 10 videos yesterday but only gotten 2 of those so far as well as a few others. It's been almost 24 hours so far for those so I'll see how much longer it takes.
