"Well, that was an ordeal." Waluigi remarked as he took in a deep sigh. "Are we in trouble now?" He asked Metal after Bowser Jr. had been blasted off to who knows where and Captain Falcon had bid them goodbye.

"No." Metal Sonic informed. "It was the Koopalings, not the police force. I just asked them if they wanted a chance to get even, and they took it. . . . at my stipulations."

"Great!" Waluigi exclaimed. "So. . . now what do we do?"

"I guess we don't do anything." Metal Sonic remarked as several of the Koopalings quite speaking to one another and flew off. "There isn't much to do anyways. If you want I can take you down." He offered in nearly a more upbeat tone than ussual.

"ReallY?!" Waluigi asked? "I'd love a ride!"

". . . . . .. Ok." Metal Sonic said. "Now, let's. . . . " Metal Sonic looked over at Regulus who was looming over a nearby building, watching the whole ordeal. Metal Sonic and his eye's met. And Regulus was as still as a statue.

Waluigi started to sweat a little as the two had their visual showdown. Finally, Regulus made a fighting gesture and used his jumpkit to fly over the city and land right in front of Metal.

"What do you want?" Metal Sonic asked, totally zeroing in on his foe. It was impossible to read Regulus as long as he had that mask on, but Metal knew he wasn't invincible. . .

"Nothing." Regulas huffed. "Just another way to spend my time. You disabled the rocket didn't you?"

"Uuuuuhhhhh." Waluigi tried to get in on the conversation. "I think that one of the Koopalings took eet away. . . . " He kindof looked to the side as he said so.

"Well, then, there's one less task on my list." Regulus remarked as he looked out over the city. "Looks like my work here is done. . . "

"You came here to stop it?" Metal Sonic asked in a demeaning fashion. He was curious to as Regulus's motives, Regulus was one of the few people he respected- in battle and in person.

"No, just to deal with the aftermath." Regulas sneered. "It would have made for some great settings of pitting the best against the best." He said turning around to face Metal Sonic and Waluigi more fully.

"When catastrophe's happen, is when the greatest of heroes come to stop it. With Smash Ceremony U out and about, and a few mascots still inside the buildings when the smoke went off, they would all become hypnotized. Those would make the greatest ones to fight." He added with much of any motions.

"What, did you trust Bowser Jr. To hold up his end of the bargain?" Regulus asked with a throw of his fist for show.

". . . . . . . We gave him a chance." Metal Sonic stated. Like a poker player not revealing his cards. "But now it's up to you. What'll you do Regulus." Metal Sonic asked.

"What I've always done!" Regulus suggested. "Search out better opponents!" And with that he dashed into Metal, and their battle took to the skies.

"And that was a great adventure." Waluigi surmised that evening. "It was kindof fun doing all da stuff. I wonder if we could have. . . . you know, more of a real adventure? Like, put in a game somewhere?"

"You are in." Metal Sonic reminded. "But you're in people's hearts and memories, and someone they loved growing up. I'v been feeling more and more like that lately actually. Even my Sonic Boom cutscenes are being praised."

"Yeah." Waluigi agreed. "I was een Mario Kart U, but Metal what happens if people just stop some day?"

"What do you mean?" Metal Sonic asked. "You mean if people forget about us?"

"Well, not people." Waluigi corrected. "But really the companies that made us real. I mean, in time, everyone get's old. And passing on what you made as a creative work doesn't always stay. . . . " Waluigi continued. "Plus the work isn't that great. . ." He said thinking of some of the later Sonic games so many fans had given mixed reviews upon. Ever since Shadow the Hedgehog really.

"Well, all I know is if you truly have a fan following, you can't totally die. Look at Robin Hood, or Winnie the Pooh. They're ages old, but they're still around." He added. "And if the official stuff sucks, then we shouldn't worry."

"But how come!?" Waluigi cried. "Eeet's terrible if da games aren't even good!"

Metal Sonic looked over at Regulus and Commander Jonathan from The Taking of Peras, a prequel fanfic to Bomberman 64. Another classic game to play that even he would have to admit was good. The Two happened to be sitting under an umbrella with the rest of the crew. Including Altair, Orion, and Artemis. Their leader and the Masked Trio. Antagonists to Bomberman's 3D exploit. Speaking of which, the white robot was joining them himself just now. He and Pommy waved as they walked over. Regulus only gave a quick look before getting back to his drink. Some kind of orange juice it seemed.

"Find good fans who still understand." He stated. "Good fans who can write good stories, make good games, remake original music." He added.

"The only way the original fanbase is going to keep alive is if it keeps going on it's own. That's why we have Sonic Generations mods and more. Cuase the fan's love it, and they know what they want. So they just go out and do it.

"That's true." Waluigi agreed. "That's true metal, oh, by da way, you want to go home an play Brawl?" He asked excitedly. "They have a mod out called, project M! They also made hacks that include you and I in our own character slots!"

"Sure." Metal Sonic said.


"That sounds. . . fun."

And there you have it. Perhaps the most unoriginal, uncreative, funny, and outrageous fanfiction that I've made yet. Metal Sonic and Waluigi. Man.

Talk about Cliched though!

I can't believe some of the stuff that I've done for this story. XP

Ah well, I guess it's not bad though. Hard to believe I actually did this though. But Ah well, it was nice to take a break. Thanks for the support guys.
