If I could delete a sport what would that be?

I am thinking hockey as of the abuse I got as a child on the field by coach, but that is my own subjective view.

What about you, if you had the power to delete a sport, which one would you delete?

One sport, Football.  We're not talkin the 'pull your socks up and kick that ball' kind of football, we're talkin 'tackle that guy with the pig skin kind of football'.  Not that I have any real dislike for the game that stems from deep in my childhood, in fact I've seen a handful of enjoyable, edge of my seat games; but the productivity of North America would sky rocket if we could just let go of the sports cult created by games like football.  It probably drives a lot of aggression in people that would otherwise be well put together, probably kind(er) people. 

Uhm... I think american football, it just really does not enterain me

I would probably have to go with golf, im literally ok with every other sport ever.

Football , in every way possible . 
Everyday at school I receive a ball kicked in the head or my back which annoys the living hell out of me because they don't even say sorry .

They are both real football . And american football is called soccer from what i know xD

If I could delete one sport, it would probably be Golf because to me, it's extremely boring

mine is actually a game sports that has make no sense.

I never really liked Soccer, or for those of you outside of the US, Football. It just reminds me too much of the movie cliche where you re kicking around something like a metal can because you are in the middle of nowhere. also the fact that in Baseball and American Football are more popular in the East Coast, but im more of a Baseball person.

American Football. I hate football it bores me and I have no care in the world for it.  I watched it for 7 years and I still don't understand the game. Nor have I ever tried to. 

If I could delete a sport it would undoubtedly be football, the amount of money in it is simply ridiculous, recently Sky and BT paid around £5,136,000,000 ($7,823,951,280) to exclusively air premier league matches. In a time when many working people are having to stave themselves in order to feed their kids, even with the help of charities this is unacceptable in my opinion. I understand the players have to stay in peak fitness and they require talent in their field but they are simply paid too much, people who work for years in university to become a lawyer or even a doctor won't earn in a life time what some footballers earn in a single year. Yet, a doctor does far more valuable work and in my opinion works an awful lot harder.

I would probably delete golf... to me it's just not fun to watch somebody golf instead of watching somebody shoot hoops , play hockey or play football. Golf is one of the only sports I would really get rid of if I had to do that.

For us that live here in America, I bet that at least 75% of the US would say soccer. Soccer is the most boring sport in the world to play and especially to watch on TV. Golf is starting to get really boring to watch too, now that Tiger is pretty much done for the rest of his career. However I do love to play golf, so I probably wouldn't "delete" it. 

I'm sorry if your favorite sport happens to be soccer...I'm just voicing my own opinion here.

Totts : I'm going to have to side with zanderlex (and anyone else who has said it) that golf would be the sport I delete if I had the power. For me it is very boring, and it's hard to see how much money they get for playing a game that really shouldn't even be considered a sport. 

Soccer. So many people get all excited about certain plays, but I am sitting here like "what".  Last summer at Montreat, our church got another church over to the house to watch the first game of the world cup. God, was that boring.

Pretty much all sports are fun to play, and not as much fun to watch imho. I play(ed) baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, and basketball in organized leagues and countless others (football, tennis, golf, etc.) just for fun. 

But picking a sport to delete, meaning I wouldn't ever care to play it or watch it again, is tough.  If I had to pick one, I would have to say soccer. It's just not that fun to watch, because there isn't enough action. I think they need to consider shortening the fields a little in order to condense the game and increase the action. This happened to hockey a couple years ago, and they had to make some changes to increase scoring and as a result, the interest in the sport. 

Boxing. 

I just don't see the appeal in beating someone up until they're out. That's my entire reason, but I'd say it's pretty solid.

American Football.

Not only is it one of the most boring sports to watch, but the NFL is probably the most corrupt league in sports.

Players like Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy, Ray Rice, and more, get away with light suspensions for things that would result in jail time for "lesser" people.

Beyond corruption and boringness, concussions (which are frequent for obvious reasons) sustained in the game result in long time mental disability, and players struggle to integrate into normal life after the league.

Add in the fact each team plays once a week (I like being able to watch basketball/baseball daily), and there's just no compelling reason to keep it.

Furret :

Boxing isn't beating people up until they are out (that's MMA/UFC), boxing is running around the ring like a scared b**** because you are afraid to actually fight someone (Mayweather/Pacquiao) or fighting a war of attrition, with very few fights (usually total mismatches) actually ending in KO or TKO.

It's a crap sport, and you aren't wrong to get rid of it though. It's just crappier than you make it out to be.
