For those that may not know for sure exactly what I am talking about let me put this in a clearer perspective for you. By interracial marriage I mean the marriage of two very different ethnic backgrounds, such as a black person marrying a white person and so on. I was raised up back in the 70's were interracial dating and marriage was very frowned upon and openly scorned. Luckily I had very supportive parents in this regard because If I would have said I was marrying outside my ethnic background they would have been anxious about it and worried but they would have supported and helped me the whole way. They also would have been one of the first people to step up to defend us if anyone outside of family spoke against us. I personally find nothing wrong with it and have seen it happen a lot. My view on the matter is who cares about the skin color as long as they love each other and their kids grow up in loving homes. 
So here's my question that is up for debate :  Should interracial marriages be allowed or strongly discouraged ( by law ? Family ? Etcc... )?
Also if you are for or against please tell us your view on that matter and why you think your choice on the matter is right. 

Brain-Splattered :  I personally have no problem with it.  We are after all all of one blood.  The only hurdle is the cultural differences and the biggest one for me - the spiritual side of things.  

I have no problem with it and I really think we're at a time where the majority of people don't care. I know that some black people don't agree with marrying outside their race (as to why there are black dating websites) but I think the majority of white people are fine with it. I actually have a brother who is dating a black girl and a sister who is dating and has a kid with an asian so I'm very use to that sort of thing lol.

I do think that it is still an issue among many cultures though. You will find that Asian cultures are very against marrying outside of the race/culture (Chinese only marry chinese and so on). Well, the parents are anyway. Most people my age and younger are used to seeing couples with 2 different races so much that it is no longer an issue.

I have no issue with it. Most of my ex girlfriends in the past 2 years have not been white. I've dated black girls, mixed girls, and an Asian girl. 

So to say that I have a problem with interracial marriage would be a huge lie. 

Based on where I live, we see a whole lot of interracial marriages happen and doesn't bother me one bit. How I look at it, if you really love someone, you shouldn't be limited to marring to the same race and personally, that is wrong, although I am single and I won't ever go through this situation anytime within my lifetime. Everyone has a different tone with their skin, but everyone is all the same within. So in reality, you can't really judge on the person on their color, you should care more about on their interests and feeling more.

That's my personal view on it, I think marring couples that isn't the same race as your own isn't a problem. Sure, a lot of other people especially older generations think its a problem, especially across the Southern United States (Because racism was a big issue in the past down here)

I would think that its very acceptable, and I've herd stories of interracial marriages for hundreds of years and in my opinion, if it was fine many many years ago, then there should be no reason for it to be looked down upon or anything now, and I really don't see a reason at all because we grow up usually in communities where this is very normal.

I have absolutely no problem with interracial marriages .

Whether white, black, Asian, whatever - it's the love that counts, right ?

you love who you love i think it's perfectly normal. were all just people! im glad those days are in the past and anyone can be with whomever they want. i think south park got it right in season 8 episode 7 with the future immigrants how they were all a brownish color and spoke a mix of every language. like i said were all one people
