Naruto is better in my opinion. No offense to the Pokémon lovers, but in Pokémon the episodes are so similar.  Naruto is not that way. Naruto has emotional values tied in with the anime.

I would go with naruto on this one mainly beacause it is decently original, has a pretty good story base as well as having some moderately emotional moments to it.

That is a very difficult choice. When I was younger (when Naruto wasn't around) I would always watch Pokemon with my older sister every Saturday morning, because that was when they came out with the new episodes. But ever since Naruto came around, I became instantly addicted. I like the Pokemon games better, but I like the Naruto anime better then Pokemon. I mean, sure, Pokemon was great when it first came out, but then it just got ridiculous as it kept going on. Ash never grew up, and always stayed at like, 12 years old. The Pokemon show just got boring and too popular with the younger crowd. My sisters favorite question she asks before she dates someone is "Who was your starter Pokemon?" and if they don't say Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, or Bulbasaur, then they are too young for her. I really enjoy watching Naruto, but if I missed a couple episodes, I would have no idea what was going on. So I would have to either read the manga, or episodes online. Naruto is pretty confusing, but has a ton of adult humor in it as well, which is what I really enjoyed in the series.

Naruto, hands down. Pokemon is so...so commercial. It exists merely to sell cards, games, toys and crap to kids. Naruto at least attempts to have a real story and some cool characters. Who wants to be a dorky Pokemon trainer when you can be a super cool ninja?
